The numbers were really just for like...appearance(style) Kinda like on bleach. The Captains have their numbers on their backs. LOL

Um, the years is...well you know how there are 1st year students? 2nd year students, and 3rd year students? There are no fourth, I'm going by the Japanese system of school. It's where they divide up the classes. Like on Anime you will see class 1-A, 1-B, 1-C, and 1-D. Depending on how many students. This tells What Year they are. ^-^ Does that help?
