Holy crap! It took me 10 minutes just to look at your drawing because TheOtaku was doing that "I'm not gonna let you see any artwork unless you hit refresh or show image a bajillion times" thing! Ahh! It's just frustrating! >.<
Anyways! The story was kinda mushy, so I don't really care much for it. However, I like seeing pictures with stories behind them, so don't be afraid to include more stories with your art! ^.^ And the drawing is beautiful! I love your style! It would be really interesting to see you draw a picture of Kikyo that looks similar to Kagome. Don't get me wrong, I don't like Kikyo or Kagome, but in some of the later manga volumes I started to notice that Kagome began to stop looking similar to Kikyo. ^.^;
I love their hair and their faces the most. The background is beautiful, and I envy your background-drawing skills! ^.~ I like the colours, as well, especially Kagome's purple-ish hair, Inuyasha's bright red shirt, and the green forest!
The only area that I think could use a bit of improvement is Kagome's arm; the proportions are a little off there in terms of the length of her forearm (I think that's what you call the part of the arm between the wrist and the elbow...). o.O
Oo! I just noticed the butterfly! XD I'm slow, sorry! Anyways! I like how little it is, and how you coloured it! It really looks like a real butterfly; very realistic! Also, I checked out the detail, and it looks fantabulous! Great Work! *^.^*
... wow. This is a long comment, isn't it? Kinda awkward!
I really like the story behind this, Elves. My one qualm is the way Kagome looks. I can't put my finger on it, but she lacks something. Maybe it's her purple hair that isn't cutting it for me. She just doesn't look like...Kagome...
Lol, well you did make inuyasha seem cooler than Kagome xD
But how ever you did the background is the way you should do a pic! :D
Sort of reminds me of a monet, where you have to be far away and the picture comes together, but when your upclose then its a lot different xD
Anyway It would be AMAZING if you can make a drawing tutorial ;D
I've heard a few people that they want to be as good as you but I'm sure they havent said anything lol. But keep up the great work and I know your busy but I fawn over your work lol. @_@ long reply back xD
You know that someone truly cares when they brick you like that. -AZ
You always did amazing backgrounds. The story is good. (^_^)b It gives the art a little more background. Hahaha.. it took you two months to finish this?
I have the tendency to finish my projects quickly for if I put them off for another day, I tend to loose the momentum and end up not finishing them... or taking longer than two months... hahaha!
the art work and the story is amazing! i've written and read lots of stories but yours is pretty awsome! inuyasha looks a lot more sexier like that than the original one
That was a sweet little story. Inspired by a dream eh? My dreams are always muddled and forgotten as soon as I wake up. I really like the little butterfly. You did a nice job with the background too *nod-nod* especially the tree Inuyasha is leaning against, it looks so nicely blended.
*smiles* Tis nice to see some more art from you ^^
I'm truly amazed because the background is so realistic! (Probably partly because I'm a noob when it comes to digital colouring XD ). And I really like the softness of the shading and highlighting. With softness I mean how it's faded/smudged/however it is called.
Btw, I couldn't recognize Kagome because of her new hair colour. But I like it ^__^
Thanks! Hm, it's always hard to tell how long each particular drawing takes since I don't work on any one piece non-stop and finish it in one go. Plus, the more characters the longer it takes obviously...it also depends on the background too. Plus, the line-art alone takes sometime prior to the actual coloring. Wow, I'm totally answering the question, aren't I? lol!
But if I were to guess how long each drawing typically took me to do, I'd say between 8-10 hours...sometimes more sometimes less.^^
Aw what a sweet little story^^ Hehe it put a smile on my face! I think you did a good job at writing it. :) You put some happy emotions into it which effected me in a good way, so thank you for the innocence of this. ^__^
As for your picture, it is breathtakingly beautiful. I think the background looks lovely and the oil brush adds a nice scenic view to the drawing. :) Looks just like a forest. But my favorite parts would have to be their hair, so swishy looking XD, and also the cute little butterfly of course^^ Hehe.
Oh wow! How lovely! *__* It took you so much time~~ Goodness, it was worth it! They're so cute together. <33 Hehe, I love all the details...the bg is stellar. It's very hard to paint trees and stuff like that; I know. T__T You did great though! Painter? I've never gotten that program before...I've heard good things about it. *envious* Very beautiful work! ^__^
Inuyasha in a CLAMP-like style? Hmm, it looks beautiful!
Question miss Elves! How long does it take you for to color that? Even my simple colorings take me a while and you with your awesome backgrounds and adding details to everything I just wonder how much time you had to set aside for this one.

i love it, the coloring is really nice and the background is awesome :D OMGOMG I BETTER BE GOING TO NYAF TO SEE UR DEMONSTRATION *__*
Great picture! Though I didn't recognize Kagome at a first look (I think it's the hair color, haha), I like it!
No need to be nervous about the story either, I think it's very good. A peaceful moment... That's a very rare thing around Inuyasha, LOL.
oh yah, and I forgot to say...the background I did completely separately from Inu and Kagome so I guess it is a piece by itself...or did you mean do a piece with anime characters done with the oils? I think I confused myself...*goes cross-eyed*
It's anime, my friend, they're supposed to have big eyes. lol! But I see what you're saying...although I was actually going for that with this style...since I didn't want Inuyasha to look to feminine giving Kagome bigger eyes makes him look a little more manly.*snort*
