Thanks for the advice. I figured you were self-publishing, and I understand how it's hard to get your name out in the world that way. Your fiance seems like an interesting guy to work with. I went to an art school for a while when I was living in New Orleans, and the teachers there were pros at giving constructive critiques. Do you think it would be any trouble to ask him to critique a sample of my writing?? (Or maybe you can do it and see if it sounds interesting enough to illustrate...)
It doesn't have to be any time soon, but I was just curious.

Also, about the contest. I just thought it would be neat to put together an "artist journal" sorta speak where it's one story seen from different points of view. I'm having people create characters that they'd like to see in it. And if they fit into the story or can help the plot progress, then they'll be added and the winners can illustrate their part of the story. (I guess it could be described as a sort of "role-playing" scenario.) If it's a success, then I'd like to get it self-published by like lulu.com or something, and the winner can get a free copy.

my goodness! if there's anything specific i could tell you?? wow XD there's honestly so MUCH involved in the progress i wouldn't know what one thing was worth mentioning...hmmm...with editors you ask? my editor is my fiance' LMFAO but he's still very demanding which i love > U < i'm self publishing my story and aren't going through an established publisher because i wanted full control over the rights of my characters etc. but still in all, my work is looked over my my fiance' but he understands my vision and knows my entire story so he would never force me to change anything unless it was necessary (such as the paneling of the page etc. might be hard for the reader to understand) most publishers would not be this lenient. they may tell you to make changes to your pages multiple times if necessary. mostly known mangaka are given the freedom to create their pages as they wish. so sorry hun. i'm not really sure what kind of info you wanted ; __ ; there really is just so MUCH to say about the business and editors is really the least of it <3

how much are they?? about...uuum...it depends where you buy them. some places sell them for $5 each. i buy them individually and then buy the refills XD the refills cost $1 more than a marker BUT they can refill about 20 markers!! saves $$$ in the long run > U <

Your art is very beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing your book on sale. Will it be available in stores like Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million? (Or will it be available strictly online?)
I like that your making a name for yourself by getting a book out to the public. Is there anything specific you can tell me about the tasks involved in publication? Like with editors and such?

Your commissions sound really interesting, only I can't think of any specific pictures that I'd ask you to draw. What would be really cool, is one day do a collaborative work with you. That would be an honor. I have stories in progress (both short stories and novels) that I would love to see illustrated, but I'm still in the process of improving my drawing in areas like architecture, perspective and design. I'm holding a contest/challenge here where artists can create characters for this new short story I'm writing; and when it's all over I was thinking of possibly asking one of my favorite artists if they were interested in a collaboration. Sorry for the ramblings, I got caught up in it and sorry for making this comment long.

Anyway, great work and I'm looking forward to buying your book(s).
