thats probably a good idea, taking a break. but i dont think i'm do very well at it. theres no way i WANT to stop drawing, i LOVE to draw. and to be honest, i'm gonna keep at it, whether I'm good at it or not.
I'm not one to encourage giving up, especially in the art field. But if you truely feel that you'll never get anywhere with it, perhaps traditional art isn't for you (it certainly isn't for me). Graphic designing is becoming an extremely demanded field of art, if you care for a suggestion. They definitely make more money than traditional artists.
There's also the possibility that you're in a slump. I experienced one not too long ago. If that's the case, all you need is to take a break. Mine lasted about two years (probably a little too long), but now I'm back and the improvements are definitely noticeable. It's up to you...
there really is no way i can get better. Ive tried for years. books and internet sites NEVER help me. ive even gotten PEOPLE to try and teach me, but nothing's worked. So seeing as theres no way for me to improve, i might as well stop, huh...
Inproper proportions are not a 'style of drawing', they're just proof of inefficient practice. They get the best of all of us. I suggest, if you're serious about art and want to be good at it, that you invest in some good How To art books. Or even doing some internet research can help.
It's not wise to give up on something just because things aren't working out. You just have to keep at it. Art is one of those annoying things where if you don't practice and you don't show it who's boss, you'll never improve.

thanks for the comment and all, but the thing is: I just Dont know HOW to fix proportions. Whenever I try, it ends up looking awkward. I never get proportions right. thats just my style of drawing i guess...

Whoa. That girl's head is far too big for her body. Fix the proportions, and this will look pretty decent.
Loving the background. It's a simple photoshop brush, but you used it rather effectively.
