I mean, as long as I go over it in black marker, it turns out pretty good. But colored pencils . . .that's a different story. xD

Oooh! I know a really good program to color with! Here's a few suggustions:

1) Gimp 2
2) Paint.net
3) Paint Tool SAI

These programs are all free. And as far as the actual coloring, I know a really good demo/comic made by a fellow otaku. The username is: RSRKingdomStars. You've prolly heard of her. Also check out my subscriptions on my profile. A few of those otakus have really great demos.

But, just in case you're interested in a quick tip now:

When you have pulled up your artwork on a program, you might have to outline it in black (unless you outlined it in black marker before you scanned it). Then you use the "Magic Wand" to outline sections of your pic. You might wanna make different layers and name them stuff like "Clothing" or "Skin". Then you simply pick the color of your choice and use "Bucket" to fill in the designated area.

There's prolly a short-cut for all this, but I haven't figured it out yet. xD Other Otakus might have better info for you.

And sorry if I bored you. Or if you already heard all this stuff before and you're like, "Shut up, Saku Chan! I already know this! Geez, gimme some info I actually want!" Lol! Kidding. ;)

Anyway, hope that helped. ^^

And I'll keep practicing. Perhaps if I color darker, my scanner will approve. ^^

hmmmmm. lol neighter does mine,well the thing is my scanner is very well good,and shows all the detail in the pic,like where i erased things and where i waz puting more presser on the colored pencil,like u know how some places are darker. so yeah my scanner just shows it with detail, my dad says thats whats so good about it,but sometimes it ruins it and sometimes i think the pic looked better before i scaned it. but well most of the time,well almost all of the time the pics come out scanned good!
hey i wanna see what a pic of yours would look like scanned, cause well it might look better than u think. hmmmm. i wish i knew how to do things digitally,i'm just so used to drawing traditonally,i tried digital once, it sucked! so thats why i always draw traditionally! man people keep saying i should do digital but i just dun have the right program and i don't know how! oh wells. um but yeah keep practicing my friend!!
