At first, I thought it might be a draft because it is not completely colored. But it fits the contest description, something that pops out at you. Americans are more that often bold and take every opportunity to make a statement; I think this album cover captures that!
The art itself is very nice; it's neat yet grungy. However, I think the depth could be increased with more shadows or contrast around or in the buns to make it pop even further.
