I started tearing up. It reminded me of my dog Sally who I grew up with most of my life. We got her when I was probably about 7, she was my first puppy. And just a few years back we had to put her down the day before my birthday. She had cancer. ;__; *sobs* I miss her.
I cried.... serious.
My dog Auby died tragically....
Someone killed him with a knife........
When I realized that 'someone' is my best friend....
And now my best friend is not my friend anymore...
Auby was my first friend...

I know how you feel, I lost my beloved albino mutt Pinky last July, he was the sweetest dog I ever had despite what happened to him before we got him, he was still so sweet, loved anyone who came into my house, as long as they gave him treats or played with him he would love them and lick your face off, my vet said it was a neurological thing, a first we thought he had a stroke or got into some pills my mom threw away, but he didn't make it through the night, I was torn up inside. But my dad took it really hard, I have a Pom named Jasmine, but I'll still miss that dog
lovely words, my condolences on your loss,
I remember losing my first dog, a Sheltie, a few years ago, he was 16 and a half, so he was a good, ripe old age when a stroke finally called for that last trip to the vet, so in a way, I understood it to be his time to go, but we can never be fully prepared. Especially when that creature had been a part of your world since literally day one. This same dog slept underneath my bassinet when I was a baby, standing his watch like a good little sheepdog does. So I can understand what your feelings.
just remember she'll never really be gone.
best wishes.

AWWW that's so sad!
I know what you mean; my dear dog Cody died almost a year ago now... I had him my whole life; almost 15 years then. We kept him as long as we could but...It got to the point where it would be our selfishness, and not our love that would be keeping him still alive. (He couldn't walk anymore.) I went to school one day, and came home to never see him again... I knew he was getting put down, but I didn't want to be there... I'd known that I wouldn't be able to handle it well, and it was better to see him alive for the last glance... Every once in a while I have dreams about seeing him again... We haven't got another dog yet, though we're working on getting a Great Dane (Cody being a yellow lab) since we've been dogsitting my uncle's for a long time and we adore her... Still, it will never be the same as dear old Cody boy...

I feel very sorry for you. My dog Sasha died b/c of hip difficulties. But they're in a much better place now. I hope you feel better. Time heals most wounds. Hopefully it'll heal yours.
im so sorry for you this reminds me of my little kitten that died in 2008 he was the best kitten ever.he was twiching a lot and running into thing as if he couldn'd see,but when i put cold water on a washcloth and started rubing it on him he stoped,we had to keep doing that a lot and i was always sitting by him and peting him hoping he would get better.but one day my mom took him to the animal shelter, then i went to my room and started crying because he was gone. an hour after my mom droped him off the people at the animal shelter put him to sleepwhich means they killed him,buy my mom didn't tell us until 2009 and that made me mad because i kep having dreams that he was still alive and everytime i woke up from dreaming of him i started crying, and everytime i think of him i want to cry.i remember one time when i woke up and he was asleep beside, his cute little head was on my pollow and his body under my cover i thought awww his soo cute, and when i started peting him he woke him and was just sitting there staring at me.he was the cutest white cat with black spots EVER!!!
i miss him a lot i wish he was still here.
