Ahhh, I love your replies so much! They always make me smile x)
Actually, for this drawing I was using a fountain pen my sister got for me while she was in Italy (it seemed like a waste to not try it out, right?) For the most part it worked out fine...but then I was doing Eve's right eyebrow, and like a hairy flake or somthing of stupid ink got on the paper! D:
I was like, "...[B}what." I tryied to get it off, but it just smudged...So I covered it up with bangs >_>
That is definately a reason why ball point pens are easier to ink in with, they're less likely to do that to you. But I also like how the fountain pens can make really thin lines. (when used correctly >_>) I don't know, I'm kind of torn between the two...
Lol I always do that with my drawings too. I just ink over the original lineart and color it all in one sitting. I guess it's because I don't like wasting paper and I don't have much resources anyways >.> But yeah, inking in was always tough for me at first. I figured it was a lot easier to use a pen with a thinner line, rather than one with a bold line. I just use ball point pen and it comes out pretty nice, but when shading things in, things can get kinda difficult ya know?
I think the blue was a better option than the red now that you mention it. The red would have made the picture seem more angry and vicious. It would have taken away from her innocence and charm she has in this lighting. Lol but it would have been funny, her annoyance at the dolls would have been completely obvious
Oh and worries about the long reply. I like them =D
Wah!!! Thank you so very, very, very much! I always get embarrassed when really good artists compliment me! Thank you!
Mmmn...I guess I shouldn't say I hate ink. I mean, if I didn't like the effect, I wouldn't try to use it, right? xD It's just hard for me to control, and I'm stupid enough to always ink the original drawings in, so needlesss to say, many honerable sketches have become all messed up because the ink suddenly decided to make a big fat line were an eyebrow was supposed to be. >_> Hair's especially hard for me, and that's why she had random black shadows or something in her hair. (Pssst! I think manga artists are just magical!)
I am really happy with how you expression came out! At first, I made her eyes waaay to round, and she looked so innnocent (which Eve is, but she's also almost evil to train xD). So I slanted her eyes and this is what came out. I'm really happy! Yupyup!Thank you for complimenting her!!!
As for the color...for the most part, I'm really just to lazy to clean up any of my drawings, so I just brighten them, then make them a tinted color. One day!!! I will digitally color a picture in! maybe... .-. I need Photoshop or LviewPro first, though... I'm just doing my best with photobucket right now...
I picked blue because blue matches Eve's personality. Because! Like you said, it's a sad color, but it's also a pure and innocent one. I'm glad you like it, though, I was considering red, but blue won out. x)
Thank you again for giving me such compliments!!! I am very, very, greatful!
why do you hate the ink? I think it came out really nice and well done. I like that peeved look she has on her face. It's so sassy, adding more to her character and girlishness =D Truly a joy to see it, and I like the blue tint. Why blue though? Blue is such a sad color

Ink can be frustrating sometimes—but when you finally get something to look the way you want it to, it is definitely worth it.
