I think the scanner i got for christmas does but...i have yet to hook it up or even open the box. ^^; The one i am using...I dont think it has settings. though it might. That shall be my next challenge.
No worries about that. I dont blame you, since it's in pen and pen usually means complete.
In this picture i used sharpies, what i usually use unfortuntly. I am aware about the shading, though I hesitate usually since i have gone waaay overboard on it before and i dont want to do that again. Thats why most of my pictures have minimal shading, well that and I'm just to lazy to do all the shading to make it look right. But i shall change my ways, and start doing shading again!
Yeah scanners are such a insert swear word here, ha ha ha. Does your scanner has settings? When I scan my work I usually set it so it picks up all the colors and lines and make it big, ha ha ha. But I'm not sure of the quality your scanner or...camera produces.
Oh my! I apologize I did not know this was a work in progress. I thought you already finished it and were displaying it as complete. I apologize.
I am glad to hear that I was able to help though. You have a very beautiful style with lines and I like them.
What kinds of pens are you using to make lines? Oh and one thing I must tell you about shading, if you don't already know, do not be afraid to exaggerate or over do it. You wont mess up your picture even if you feel you did. What happens happens, mistakes are most of the times beautiful!

I am aware. I am sorry. I tried, but since i rarely get to get a good look at you when you walk past since i am trying to keep anyone from bothering you, I had to do it from memory.
I am aware of the lack of detail. There were more, but I forgot to ink them in beforei erased the pencil. And a lot of the techniques i used didnt show up right, or when i inked them just disappeared.
Thank you very much for commenting by the way. Reading this made me look at it and see things i could have done differently, and things i could have added. Since it is not done yet, when i do the finished version I'll defenetly use what you said! You are very helpful ^^
I actually think that the hair is the best thing on this whole picture. Her face is very dynamic and I love her pose.
There are some great advantages with using pens first of all it's a lot more fun and easier to shade using the line methods such as; cross hatching and what not and what not. I can't remember the other three at the top of my head right now.
You have this very beautiful (Asian?) woman, in an elegant cocktail dress. But I can't help but feel that it is lacking in a sense of detail. I would have liked to see more of a build up of lines rather than a curve especially if it's realism. You need more dark shades, more sketch lines to show how her dress flows.
Very beautiful job, next time when you use ink try to use some line techniques. If you want some examples I could show you, but I think you already know what I'm talking about.
Be more confident in your artwork! This is beautiful! What medium are you using, out of curiosity? Also, it's difficult to make an animated character realistic, and I think you did a fantastic job of it! Also, I think the shading on her lips is nice. Keep working hard! :)

Then if that is your excuse, I will accept it....it looks good since you are drawing from memory.

Self-portraits can be fun. You just gotta find an angle that works for you. (Angle in the creative sense, not the camera sense.)

Seriously, this is top grade stuff. I wish I could draw realistic characters like this. Don't know squat about Vampire Knight. =/ Great Job though!
