yeah. I have a bunch of foreign blood thats evident in my blond hair and green eyes. Your lucky. Usually people here arent as dramatic either, but children with blond hair and no one knowing where we got our money people tend to think we're Yakuza. so thats always fun -_-;

I'm a 'fullblood' Vietnamese and I'm born and raised in the Netherlands in a farm town where there aren't much foreign people. I used to stick out a lot, I still do, but in this bigger village peoplee are less 'dramatic' about it. Hahaha.
You got jumped because you had blonde hair? That stinks. But your sketch is really great! (I'm sorry if anyone reading this is starting to notice that my comments are kinda repetitive)
It sounds like you're really not having fun with the self-portrait idea. Maybe that could serve as inspiration? You could draw yourself making a face, or rolling your eyes. Or peeking out from behind your hands?
Self-portraits can be boring, or they can be really fun. (Both to draw or to look at!) It's all about how you interpret yourself.
awww thats sad to hear about your black eye...but yeah, you do see that kind of abuse in japan.....but it didnt stop you from drawing this awesome picture...lol
