Probably. I love the concept of red strings. Sometimes it reminds me of the strings used by blood splatter analyst at a crime scene. This picture actually has its partner, but I don't intend to post it here anytime soon. It's more... um questionable than this picture. It's on dA though...
Vinnie~! *hugs you tightly* >w< I miss you so much, man. Hm yeah, I guess the birds aren't that free but I love the interpretations people have on this picture. Makes me rethink the main motive of this picture again, hm... But, on this earth, nothing's really free. Even a bird that flies has to stop and land somewhere when they are tired.
I can kind of see how he's being set free, it seems that the white doves are freeing him. Doves are very symbolic because it signifies, peace, gentleness and constant love. It is actually a very religious symbol so, maybe in a sense, the Lord is setting him free from his past. it doesn't have to be literal, someone can be set free from anything, whether it be an addiction, a tragedy, or a loss. I can understand why its your favorite.
I love the sketchiness and those red strings. The touch of red makes a beautiful contrast.
Although I disagree with the title. The way the strings tie him down, seems more like he's building up a cage rather than being free <3

This makes me think of my boyfriend's character.
He has a phoenix bird as a familiar and is cursed for death. These strings and the birds help fit. XD
Nonetheless, very nice job. I love the line work. ^_^
