Mmmmmm jelly limbs. Er- anyway thank you for that! I never noticed that our spenpt much time on the muscle development. Thank you so very much for pointing that out! I shall get on that- and the lineart thing- straight away!
For example, on your picture here, her arms and legs kind of look like jelly. :) The human form is much more structured, because of bones and muscles and the like. It's important to take into consideration HOW you would fall naturally, and what would be bent, etc.
Also, her hands and feet are REALLY small in proportion to the rest of her. I had (still kinda have) this problem too. Drawing them bigger SEEMS weird and awkward, but it looks much prettier in the end. :)
On the colored pencil topic, I recommend prismacolor and Lyra brand. :) Those are what I use.
I think, because you are just beginning using colored pencils it shouldn't really matter what brand you buy. I just think you should get used to them and slowly find out which ones work best for you.

Lukewarm. Brillent term there. The 'sites' brillent. Congrats on having the idea to make it. And thank you for The WOUNDERFUL comments of help. Er- well i guess i shoudl say 'comment' because you only left one.
^.^'
Good idea about the whole ankle/wrist thing. I seem to forget often about those small details. (not really small but,) Thanks for the advice!
To start off, I would like to congratulate you on tackling such a hard pose. Drawing someone from the back can be difficult especially when you have no references. It is a whole different side that your mind isn't used to looking at, so I can imagine that it would be difficult.
I love the idea of her turning away from the viewer. I can tell you really wanted to show off her wings.
In my opinion I believe that this picture is well balances frame wise but it would have been better with deeper shadows and higher amounts of details. Shadows alone can capture detail and normally can illuminate what is to be shown. You do not have to over exaggerate on it, just enough to guide the eyes.
What did you use to color this again? For your style I recommend colored pencils, only because it will help your range of textures and design.
This site is a really great tool if you want to practice drawing people. Some of the poses are harder than others, but overall it's a great place to get started.
Spend ten minutes doing 20 poses at thirty seconds each. The time limit might be frustrating at first, but it will help you get the "feel" of a character on paper in just a few short strokes.

It's really hard to get body proportions right but that is why we have mirrors and younger siblings are for! ;D
Lol, well you can use your own self like I do and be silly in front of the mirror to get them right like I do sometimes lol but if you prefer just browse on the net and/or observe people on the street and you will understand body proportions better. I know it's sound so vague and all but it really helps to observe the world and understand how everything is done or can be done by drawing.
Don't feel discouraged if you don't get it right away even after observing a lot, like I said, body proportions are hard to get right, not even the greatest artists escape from that. Keep practising! :D
love feet?
but they're so hard to draw!!
i usually hide from them.. by cutting them off XD
one way to get better at poportions is to ..look at real people O_o
so.. maybe find reference pictures
e.g. someone that's in similar pose as the one youre drawing, or maybe just parts of the body in the same pose...
so.. if lets say, youre drawing er.. feet, and you're not sure how to start, then google some reference pictures about real people's feet that's in that position, and.. try to draw that while looking at the ref
=]
Love your concept, the colors I think are perfect. You just need some shadow and it would be perfect.
As far as proportion I use pictures of actual people for reference, but you dont have to copy their body shape, just for a idea of basic proportion. I had to get used to reg proportions recently cause mine were really distorted.
I do think body length is good, you just need some more curves to her arms and legs.

Hi Matt :)
You have a really good start here, but there are definitely things that could be worked on. :)
What everyone else has said before is GREAT advice. :3
Something that took me a while to learn but that has, in my opinion, improved my art tremendously, is line drawings.
