WHOA THIS IS AMAZING! Now this is what I call a good picture. I'm curious to see which books those are though XD Man, this is your best picture yet, in my opinion. The dark shadows totally work and emphasize the power of reading. I like how you kind of gave the book a dark effect like that because it adds mystery. The mystery of books, there are so many stories and wonders inside of them, you just don't know what to expect.
AHH!! Ebony pencils...totally *pretends to know them*
i need to get me some of those! im not very good with soft pencils, because they are so smudgy, which causes them to be messy whenever i use them :/
Im glad it came out the right way lol XD
thx ill try my best,i really have a hard time drawing on command >.> you do great in you perspective :)
keep it up!

Yes of course I used different types of pencils. My range is from washed HBs to Ebony. I like to come into detail with the lighter sharper pencils like 6H and 2H.
And do not worry, I did not see your comment as an insult, but a compliment. :-)
oh and do well with your inking classes. I have yet to learn how to use ink as well.
:P We both are on perspective.

If this is half assed, i can imagine what full assed is like. wow,
that just sounded messed up, nevermind lol.
what i am TRYING to say, is that the perspective element and shading is really mesmerizing. i am doing a similar thing in my art class right now, but it is with pens and values. which i am sucking at. I know this is in pencil, but how did you manage to make the shading really soft, but vivid? did you use the different types of HB pencils? just wondering >.<
I also really the the pages of the books, they look very realistic! great job :D
<3
IT's very nice!
I like how you weren't afraid to go so dark with the shading XD
and how you took your time with the pages (aka, they actually look like pages in a book rather than lines drawn on a box pretending to be a book) XD

@Teapot Domescam:
In a way that is very true. Especially when the books do not have pictures or titles. Which are the ones I find the most intriguing.
They aren't any books in particular. Two mangas and a normal book without a title. -shifts eyes- Library books.
Thank you so much for what you wrote. That makes me happy :D.

@VivaLaParadise:
You do not know what ebony pencils are? They are the darkest graphite you can get. I also am a big fan of 8B. Yes yes.
I think it was easier to do a close up perspective. I tried drawing a room and it was not so successful. Inside is harder than outside.

@FalseDelusion:
Thanks :)
I tried to add small details to imply the pages rather then drawing all of them. It's an image trickery I suppose.
I'm glad you like it. The shading that is. Normally when I shade too light I feel that it is too plain so I end up over shading a lot.
