lol! i'm really glad that you like the way she turned out! i was afraid you weren't going to like her! XD
the markers i use for coloring are regular cryola markers, i just love to blend the colors, kind of like putting layers on top of layers. someitmes it's hard to do, you have to be careful not to color right through the paper, that's happens to me sometimes and i ruin the drawing! DX
also try to use colors that follow the shadow scale...er something like that. that creates really good blends. and so you won't get those nasty looking lines with marker, re-color over it to give it a nice solid color. ^_^
the cryola blacks and greys are not really that good so i use indian ink markers for black or grey, they work better.
for the skin i use a regular peach colored pencil, i use a peach marker to do the shadows. when using the peach color pencil you have to be sure to blend it with a colorless blender or you can use photoshop to clean it up. (i had to use photoshop on Miss.Kool Kat to fix the color pencil i used for her skin, so i sort of cheat!!! lol)
the pattrens i used for the grid is actually from photoshop, you use the paint bucket and can choose pattren or foreground, there's more pattrens to chooce from and mess around with.
the little designs are diffent types of paint brushes that photoshop has. thoses are really fun to mess with too!
hopefully that one website has all these things that photoshop has so you can mess around with them. ^_^ i also hope this answers some of your questions.

AAHHH! You're freakin' awesome!! *hugs* XD Thank you so much tami kun! I really love her hair, ^^ it looks so natural colored like that. :3 *envious, you know how to tone clothes to show wrinkles, she looks so good in that grey shirt and black shorts.
kitty! *grins*
I forget if I asked you this already, but what kind of markers do you use? I'd like to learn how to get that simple yet perfect skin tone from a marker!
And the backgrounds, gorgeous! How do you apply those shapes and patterns? I really like the grid background for the top right one.
Thanks again tami kun! I'll have your boys up and colored as soon as I can! :D
She is so adorable! i love th hairstyle she has on the top right. I had to looks twice before i saw that this was actually traditional not photoshop, they way you color hair and skin is really amazing. the poses are stunning ^^
