Well after those blessed compliments by an Oktaku legend there's not much left for me to say Sorry I didn't see the post until today . . . I've been busy with hmwk and some drawing as well you know. And for someone that doesn't have many options in the way of scanners, you shouldn't be so critical . . . so now that my roommate distracted me I can't remember what else I was going to say hmmmmmm all well. OH YEAH!!! You're welcome for borrowing my other roommates crayons lol
*laughs* I love to leave comments on pics of people I don't know because I feel like a lot of artists that want to get noticed really don't get the attention they deserve! And everyone deserves some attention at least on their art and a chance to get noticed! So you're welcome! It was fun to comment on this beautiful piece ^^
Haha I thought that was an intended effect, like she was just leaning back to one side, but I guess if you put it that way you can say she's falling over? lol. She looks alright by me ^^
wow, you just made my day. thanks! yeah, by the time I got to the background I was so sick of coloring that I just gave up. ^^; I'm surprised you didn't say anything about how she looks like she's about to fall over... ^^;

Oh my goodness, this is lovely!!~ You did an absolutely wonderful job with crayons ^^ It's actually kind of a difficult medium to use with the roughness and strange texture, but you did such a nice job blending the shades together for a natural look! I love the setting and the calmness of the picture here, you did such a nice job with the atmosphere and tones that you used<3 The girl looks lovely too~ you seem to be quite the expert! haha and I can't really tell that the scanner ruined it at all, it looks great ^^
On the critique bit, I'd say to work on making some of the background scenery neater, such as the coloring of the grass, leaves, and sky. Maybe add some more shading here and there to make it look as blended as the wood?
Other than that, this looks incredible! Good luck in the challenge, I'm sure you'll do great! ^^ I'll be watching your work, keep it going!
