I also think the head is placed a little strange. It's definitely bent unnaturally far to the left.
I must be applying MUCH too much water, because I actually do use watercolor paper!
I know about the tape that you're talking about, though the name escapes me as well ^^; But I've heard masking tape works marginally well. Taping my paper down is something I should have done from the beginning!
Thank you so much for your critique. I'll most definitely follow your tips! :)
First of, I really like the colors. The expression, lips, and hands are really well drawn --I love the mix of realism in it.
The anatomy is a bit off. Not so much the pose (I think that looks great to be honest) but the positioning of the neck and head --they look to be apart from the picture, as if you can start off a body going sideways (I'm not sure if you see what I mean).
A good way to improve that is by looking at yourself in the mirror and moving your head -you'll get an idea on what it may look like on paper.
You have defined the wrinkles for the clothes really well --I love the blue sweater! This is reallt well done, and I love the way you colored it.
You do seem to have used too much water. I have a tip for this actually (hopefully, you didn't already know this). If you just use regular thick paper it will wrinkle more. You can try and use watercolor paper (if you don't already) it may not wrinkle as much. You can also keep using thicker paper (or watercolor which ever it is that you prefer or use) and just tape all the sides down to a drawing board/table with some tape (I'm sorry, but I can't reacll what this tape is called --I do know that it's not regular, since you need water to tape it down). This prevents air from coming under it and making it bulk (it will bulk while you color, but as it dries it will not be very noticeable -or not be there at all). While taping the paper, make sure you flatten it as you go, to not leave air space between the paper and board (hopefully this makes sense -_-;)
I'm not sure if you already use this...
Hopefully it makes sense...I'm sorry if it doesn't.
You're right. You've made me notice that in some areas, especially small ones like the hands, I applied the color on haphazardly, causing it to be jagged. I should definitely be more careful!
Hm. you know what? You're right. It's a really odd pose, and was difficult to reproduce from the magazine I found it in. It looks good in the photo, but I think that I should have chosen a easier composition.

I can't really critique this since I'm not at all a traditional artist;;; but I will try my best.
I do want to compliment on your skills~ i love the realism in this and the pose looks really cool !:D
hmmm the only thing i can think of for critique is making sure your colors are blending right. You've done a great job with it. Just a few places seem a bit blocky. but just slightly to me
