Yeah, it’s far from perfect but I put my foot into this! I learned a lot in the process which will be valuable for the rest of my drawing life. In the beginning when I had a problem with drawing something (like the shoes on ink kitty) instead of struggling with it I went and took some time out to practice on it with refs. Then drew it on my own so I know how to it. When I went back to draw, it would be much easier and I’m not constantly starting over and trying to figure out if it looks right or not. XD
Working with SAI and Photoshop day in and day out really did me good too. I’m learning more tools in sai and I back up to speed with my coloring. I just need to experiment with it now. I have so many ideas of what to draw and the kind of things I want to make I don’t have to worry about struggling in the programs now. I even started another picture last night as much as I was happy to not work on my entry anymore. I’m testing out the line work layer in sai and I’m so in love with it. You can move the points in the line to shape and cure the line however you want! I’m 90% done with the line art and I’ll decide on a background on it since I don’t want to fall back into old habits. XD
I know the biggest thing I learned was not to make the picture TOO LARGE. I did that so my lines look straighter and neater in Photoshop but that habit carried on in sai when my lines were still uneven. Now my lines are straighter since I’ve been working with my line arts for a while.
I’m diffidently going to take my new found energy to push myself farther in my art and my designs. So expect more art! XD
Thank you! I hope I do all the good people are started to place their entries now, it’s a bit intimidating. >3>
Thanks! Making the costume and choosing the colors was pretty fun. They were originally going to be like news casters but since it had to incorporate Halloween I changed the colors to their outfits. XD
Wow wow wow!!!! <333 You finished it! Yay!!! ^___^ This is so incredibly amazing, amy. I love it! You're so great at coloring...and lineart...and everything! lol. And poses. And clothes. And shading and highlights. Haha. This is just so awesome; I really hope you win!! <33

Oh my GOODNESS, Truly-chan this is certainly your best work yet!!<333 And for 2 weeks the effort really shows!! The detail is absolutely stunning and I adore how you colored this! You really should try doing more works like this, because I love your technique >.< It seems different from how you usually color but that might be because you spent so long on this. You really did a fantastic job~ I adore the colors(although Halloween seems to be a popular idea...no idea why...), and I love how you captured the lighting on this one ^^ The moon and bats look so realistic and I love how fun the piece is too!<3 Wonderful work!~ Although there are some proportion problems with head, neck, and hand size, the poses are fantastic! You're definitely a sure contender for this contest(and even if you don't make it into the finals, know that I LOVE it and your work shows!)~! Keep up the fantastical work Truly-chan and good luck!
Wow, it's amazing!! :D You stand a really good chance in the competition.
I love the costumes on both of the characters. :> The girl's is especially cute.
Good luck!! :)
