Hurray! ^^ Blank was telling me that you've read them, and I was all "yaaay!" They really are fantastic, I'm having a blast reading them. Amazing character, great mysteries, it's just awesome. x3
I approve of this new fandom. It's always good to see a youngster enthusiastic over the classics... and let me tell ya... it is a highly enjoyable read. :D
Well, there were two different Watsons in the Jeremy Brett version. One younger, and the other older after Holmes had let everyone believe he was dead at Reichenbach Falls and ran away for several years. But both Watsons are good. ^^
I've seen a few clips from his! I wouldn't mind watching those in the future, for sure. I think I'd be able to get used to that Holmes better than that Watson, haha. They casted him as an older guy, where in the books, it says he's young-ish. And I just like Jude Law XD; Holmes is fine though, I don't see anything wrong with the older one. Not saying that the new one is the right one, but you know what I mean. o3o
Yeah, it is a bit different, though I've only seen a clip or two and some pictures from the older versions, so I'm not sure exactly how different. Blank and I are trying to figure out a way to do a chat event with the movie, so if we can find a way to do that, you should totally come! :D

Oh hai Sherlock! :D
I haven't seen this new Sherlock Holmes movie yet. Looks very different from the way he's always been portrayed. I wouldn't say no to giving it a try though. ^^

If you can find a way to do a chat, I'll definitely try to be there. :3
For me, the definitive Sherlock Holmes was played by Jeremy Brett in the TV series adaptations of the 80s and 90s. I grew up watching all of those. ^^
