Yeah. I saw my brother crying while watching the movie. He tried to hide it but I guess he was just not able to resist the temptation. I bet that those guys were just trying to force-hide it.^^

Yeah youre right. Ill concentrate on my thing. yeah and when im finished inking one of my drawings, they'll say i printed it even tho they saw a glimpse of my inking it with my markers. at my school, they say my drawings are fake like justin bieber. seriously. i ignore them because most of them are ignorant.
when i get ideas, i write it down on an index card lol. i write every little detail then ill get to it and sketch. i never finish my drawings. i have no idea why too. my mom thinks its because i get sooo concerned with the quality that i get frustrated and dont finish it. i have sketches from last summer that are still not finished. shame on me. lol. you are right about letting your eyes rest. but my imagination is so big to me, that i guess i imagine too much and get tired. i usually satisfied with my results. sometimes im amazed what i put on just a piece of paper. but then weeks will pass and i say "oh what did i draw? it looks horrible" but the when i think about it, no art is perfect. nothing is. then i look back at that drawing and it actually isnt bad. i guess im just like that.
hmmmm... dont let urself be bothered by ur surroundings and just concentrate on ur thing.. like i could care less if my hands are sweaty.. i could care less about people wondering how i do my stuff.. a simple paper to protect what u've worked on so hard is none of their concern.. lol.. just do it ur way as if u dont care at all to anyone.. let them say what the heck but in exchange, let them see something great when ur done..
when i have an idea in my head, i jump right on a paper and doodle it right away.. the idea might get blurry as time goes by.. and one advantage of drawing it right away is that u can visualize the idea better.. let the sketch sit there for a while before u go further coz u might have something more to add later.. thats why i never finish my stuff in one go anymore coz i know i'll be adding more stuff days after.. u gotta let ur eyes rest since u've been looking at that piece for a long time and u've convinced urself that ur already satisfied with that but look at it again after some time like 3-4 days or so and u might see something u couldnt see before.. it doesnt matter how long one piece takes as long as ur satisfied with the end result.. *^^*
i used to put paper under my hand. That's because my hand got sweaty sometimes(nasty lol) but then people at school were all "why is that paper under your hand?" I told them but they just keep repeating lol. it got annoying. I dont draw a whole lot either. Just like little sketchy doodles then they give me ideas or turn into one, then i create something out of it.
Lol. whenever i come up with something creative that i wanna draw, i wait a couple of days to draw it.(because i imagine what i want the whole thing should look like) then i find out when im in the middle of drawing it, someone has already come out with it. n i dont want to submit it on here b/c people will give me crap and say i copied. Music does inspire me to draw. especially lately. i've drawn doodles about how i get the song. maybe i should post them.
i use paper to cover wherever my hand rests.. that way i dont have to worry too much but there will still be smudged parts if keep moving the paper in a sliding manner.. coz u know.. the paper's just covering ur hand but it's still on top of a shading.. just be careful when u move the paper around.. *^^*
drawing on a regular basis.. i would say thats true too but if u draw too much, that might cause shortage on imagination/creativity/etc.. XD i dunno.. thats just me.. however if u have a rest for a long while, u'll surely miss the feeling of drawing something and hopefully u'd come up with something interesting..
if worse comes to worst and u ran out of inspiration from looking at pictures, lack of imagination or whatever, listen to music and surely u'll be inspired by the music or lyrics.. at least thats what im doing right now.... XD
u are very welcome.. glad to share what i know.. hope it'll be helpful in the future as well.. cheers..~~ *^^*
I tend to shade like to a medium pressure. I usually don't shade hard because i don't pay attention to where my hand rests so it smears onto my hand and to the drawing. lol. I'll draw a couple of practice drawings to shade in. Your advice is easier to understand than others that explain it to me. It's like they're saying stuff in science language. lol. Thanks for the luck. I think the block has gone away. I guess it came because i haven't been drawing on a regular basis. I usually doodle or sketch everyday but i haven't so that's probably caused it. It doesnt take me long to where i was. Unless i make it hard for me.
shading and blending is all about pressures.. if u want a darker shade, shade heavily to the point where your paper could tear up.. lol jk.. but u get the meaning.. then from that heavy shading, slowly decrease your shading pressure and it should give u a lighter tone.. if one try is not enough to make the desired value, u could always redo the same shading with the risk of the paper tearing up.. lol.. i tend to shade that hard.. XD keep repeating til ur satisfied..
good luck in breaking that block.. it's just a block thats keeping u away, not a huge great wall to get to the other side.. but still, it's a long way to get to where we wanted to be anyways.. for most of us... so aja aja fighting..~~ *random blahs* =P
oh thanks dear.. and btw, i finally watched hachi and omg..... i didnt expect to cry that much... probably coz i used to have a dog that i cherish so much but now gone.... TT^TT and same to my cousins who were watching with me... all girls were crying while guys kept teasing us.. for all i know they are also affected and feeling sad deep inside.. it was a great movie indeed.. thanks a lot for sharing...~~<3

Whoa! One of THE BEST still life i ever seen. How do you do it? How did you make the shading blend> would you make a tuto on how you did or give me any tips? This must have taken a long time! Wow! I bet you didn't fail. Man, my art project are like not even worth turning in. The teacher literally yells at me that i cant draw ONLY manga. She told me my last project was below everyone elses. I dont have a talent YET for still life. But you've inspired me so that might change. :) BoA is awesome! I'm half Korean so yeah. lol I think my artist block has gone away because of you! thank you reirei!
i'd never miss an art class.. <_<" i didnt thought it will crush my pride.... lol.. i refuse to copy references exactly as they are but we must copy exactly for study purposes.. pssssh... plus we've done a number of cell shading exercises which i'd rather shade with blending effect but not allowed.. plus..... cant draw anime style...... >A<;
