Wow your art just keeps gettin better and better! :D The background is very well though of and drawn. You're definitely showing more detail and patience in your bgs and style all over. I agree with Aragon, his hair is very nicely detailed. This actually reminds me of 3 things: 1 the bg reminds me of The Lovely Bones (great movie), 2 his hair of my sister's new coloring style (she's been doing alot with copics lately), and 3 his body form of my friend Raquel's drawing style. This is the first drawing you've posted that I've noticed how similar yours and her styles are similar...which is AWESOME! I really love her style for it's uniqueness, and your style has the same "boom" to it. :)
Well I'm glad that you noticed the areas I talked about at least. Some people just ignore them alltogether =/
Ah but take a real piece of clothing, say like a jacket or something and look at it with like a lamp only or a candle on. even in the dark, there is always going to be shading that shows folds, especially considering where the light source appears to be in your pic here regarding the hair and skin tones. I definitely say that if you want to take that extra step with your art, you should work a lot more on shading clothing and maybe using more contrasting tones when you shade anything in general. It's just a point of advice, is all. But anyway you're going to be great Nade-chan~
I know. XD And it's a competition for Ike-kun even if Kaine is a part of me.
I really loved doing hair here. I'm most oftenly dealing with black hair so doing Kaine's blue hair had me excited.
Yeah, casual is my favorite style as well.
Yeah, I thought the grass could have been a little more darker for that setting when I finished. Technically, both the beach and the meadow were supposed to be in the bright sunlight, but the meadow ended up under the night. xD
Yes, I know I have a few problems about when it comes to shading clothing with the need of a light source. The thing is here, he didn't really had any except for that little light orb in his hand.
Plus, I normally draw the fold lines as well before coloring them, but I got lazy at this point.
I'll work on it in my further works.

Oh my...Nade-chan he's pretty good-looking xDD *cough*
ANYWAY. On that note..I see you're getting better around the hair!~ I really love the lines you added in there..they are subtle but add some extra detail ^^ The pose is so nice..really angelic and very graceful~ The background is lovely as well<3 And my I adore his outfit! Simple and casual..my favorite style xD
Hm...on the critique bit maybe just a thing or two? I would have tried to darken the grass in the pic to match the darkness because it seems to contrast too sharply with the night atmosphee..so maybe by adding a dark overlay on top or something, you can darken it?
Also regarding his clothes, I can't believe I didn't notice before xD But there is really almost no real shading on it. I see the folds but the way the clothes are colored imply that there are no creases or anything in relation to the light. So maybe look at how to shade folds some to give your clothes a bit more realism?
Other than that, I adore this pic so much! He looks wonderful~ keep up the fantastic work my friend!
