Yeah, my brain tends to crank out cheesy puns. I also had an idea for a small 4-panel comic where people were bothering him about his name but the only good taunt I could think of was "Isadork".
Oooh, that's a really neat character! (Tired of using the word interesting, sorry). And I really like that you looked up a name for him and came up with an even more original character that way (that's how I do it, sometimes). Very cool character!
