If I compare my skin to my older sister's freckled pale skin (it's so cute!) I look tan. But if I compare my skin to my younger sister who tans really well I look incredibly pale. I hardly even have any freckles ;-; I'm a failed redhead...

I think it's mostly practice...and remembering that you have to wait for the paint to dry...otherwise everything just kinda runs together :o It is water, after all. Taking a watercolor class helped me.

And paper towels save my butt :D They can usually mop up my mistakes.
