Oh, and if this helps, there are parts on the body where you'd usually think to shade the whole area, but in reality they're not completely shaded because they're usually lighter in the center. For instance, the cheeks, if they're looking from a 3/4 angle then the area with shade on the cheeks would be lighter in the center. And with arms or somewhat cylindrical shapes, shade in the center of that area out, but make one side dark than the other. It makes it look more 3D. I hope that helps! And I hope I didn't confuse you because it's a bit hard to explain.
