LOL no worries. There's no such thing as interpreting art a 'wrong' way. You can easily find your own meaning and view on the metaphors I drew, my art is wide open for interpretation. It doesn't make my intention or anyone else's view on it 'wrong', which is why I love art so much. I love hearing everyone's translation of it :3 So THANK YOU SO MUCH for putting down what you got out of the image! It's so interesting to hear how you translated it!
When I drew it I wasn't getting into the actual head of a serial killer, I moreorless sat down and wanted to draw the events that made them be the serial killer they are. Elephants are well known for their strong family bonds, which is why it's starving. Our subject was depraved of love and care in his youth, he was consumed by his hostile environment and surroundings, which is why the trees are melting into the elephants skin and becoming one with it. The elephant is blank, and the leaves on the trees are melting into him if you notice, so they're in unison, they're one with the elephant, which is why they're blank/solid too. Words hurt more than physical abuse ever will, which is why his ears are done in a loopy maze, every insult and verbally abusive comment made wormed its way into the subjects ear and stayed there in the maze. Which is also why the trees are so intricately detailed, all a part of the overwhelming and consuming hostile environment, just a labrynth too elaborate to escape. The subject can try to filter it all out (gas mask) but it's already a part of them.
O:! THANK YOU! : D The lines probably look very precise and calculated but LOL they're not XD they were all quickly done. I mean, yeah, it took a long time to do, but I didn't take time and individual care on each line in the trees, just rush rush get'er done X.D
oh, sorry, but i tend to stare at pictures after I comment. I don't know if it is the lines like i said, i sorta like the lines in the trees, but my eyes kept moving to the top of the page at the leaves. seems wierd that there would be blank space in a serial killer's psyche...again sorry, i really do like the drawing, sothing is just nagging me. all my opinion, I'm obnoxious, sorry
Scary, but it doesn't exactly scream serial killer to me (my opion) I think its the flowing organic lines. When I think disturbed i think harsh, tight, and geometric. Serial killers are insane yes, but they are also cold and calculating; scary orderly and patterned. I love the head and trunk of the 'elephant' like thing, but the soft curves of the legs kinda threw me off. I can definatily get crazy and maybe even sexual predator (mainly due to the torso)but its just missing a certain edge that would complete it for me. Again this is all my opinon, constructive critisim, I don't expect you to fix it or anything. Just thought i speak my peace if you were interested.
