I thought they seriously messed the movie up too. I was upset. And what was up with Zuko? He did not look like that at all. (I was crying inside) lol. And I didn't like how they pronounced Aang's name.

it's REALLY bad. even if you haven't seen the show. the lines are aweful and the acting is abysmal. The movie is not very... easy to follow either.

EH! Really?! My sister, mom and me are going to go see it sometime. Is it really that bad? And if you guys need season 1 as “therapy” I’m doomed, I don’t have it. (So want it though.) Also nice drawing, hope it’ll be fine for me since I was a fan of the show and expecting changes. (My sister and mom should be fine, they have never seen the cartoon, nor do they want to.) I’m also kind of worried; the guy playing Aang is someone they found on the internet. (That didn’t really make me feel good that they looked at many actors and ended up with a kid who sent a video. They “say” he’s the best for the job though... ) Anyways again nice drawing.

You're absolutely right. Because he wrote, directed, and produced this abomination to man he is now taking all the blame for this movie. This was his last shot at showing us how to make an amazing movie and he blew it. It's time to say goodbye to Shalamala ding dong.

The movie was horrific, in my opinion. It could've been better with a LOT of work. But it was ridiculously butchered. I've been watching Avatar: The Last Airbender (the show, since it was great) to drown out the movie.
However, what I did get out of the movie to bash. Seriously. Some very easy changes and putting some hard vowels in there would've at least made me not have a fiery hate for the thing.
(If it weren't for staring at "Ong's" overbite, I probably would've walked out of the theater a lot sooner.)

M.Night really should have hired someone who wrote the original show to write it yes. But i have to agree i LOVED the way the firenation warships looked. I didn't like the bending so much because it wasn't a movement-response thing like it was in the show, it seemed to delayed. And I was to angry over how bad the acting was to pay much attention to costumes... sorry XP

Honestly (and please don't kill me!), I'm not completely sorry I saw it. Sure M. Night Samaylan needed writing lessons. Sure the characters were off and had basically no connection. Sure the plot was freakishly choppy. Sure they left out a bajilion things from the series. I don't intend on purchasing it when it comes out. I will, however, give it a few things: 1. It did have potential to be a great movie. The whole time watching it I kept saying, "Wow this looks like clips from an awesome movie they haven't made yet". All they needed to do was add an hour or so to develop everything and connect the characters, and I think it could have been a lot better. 2. You have to admit, the bending was pretty cool. Yeah, all the moves were a little unnecessary at times, but I still was wishing I could bend. 3. The costumes were good for transitioning from a cartoon to live action. Yup, that's my honest opinion.
Anyway, the pic made me smile :)

I hated that movie with a fiery passion. It was nothing like the cartoon. Did the director even take into account that many, and I mean MANY people would be upset at the horrendous changes he made? I wish I could have those 2 hours of my life back.

I like the picture, It's how I felt when I walked out of the theater. Though what I did differently was flip the movie credits off as I left.

I can understand how they would do that but it just made it sound really bad. The creators actually went to Japan, China and Korea when they were developing the show so i'm sure they took into account the pronunciation when the were making the show but you'll also notice that the actually don't really use a specific language for the show, they just use the ancient chinese characters for their writing (took chinese for 3 years). Even in japanese and chinese Agni-kai is not pronounced "ah-gni-kee". so they fail... misserably. Plus a lot of the names in that show like "sokka" come from eastern European cultures.

Woooww...Now I seriously don't want to watch that movie AT ALL. And people were complaining about it's racism with the cast, there's no racism, the failure there is that NONE OF THE ACTORS FIT THEIR PARTS ANYWAYS! Why, WHY IS AASIF MANDVI IN IT!? TT^TT And same for Dev Patel, two people who ABSOLUTELY do not fit their parts...TT^TT Should've gotten a better director...>.>

But really nice job at showing extreme disappointment in their faces. They look really depressed to even have a movie like that made about them! XD

The director said that he was a fan....he should not be allowed to call himself that. My town's movie theater only had the 3-D version in but my dad wasted 30 bucks on this crap movie! I cried for like hours.
