The girl is so cute and I agree I love curvy body types. Its much more fun to draw. XD
You probably need to look at this tutorial. That's is how I learned to shade, blend, highlight in colored pencil, my process has changed a bit since then but I can thank my progress to that tutorial.
I hope it helps. :3

I have a colorless blender that came with one of my colored pencil sets >_> I love it for clothes, since clothes is what I have trouble blending usually XD I find that as long as I color circularly, skin is no problem, but clothes... *glares at them*
Oh wow, thanks for the explanation!
but I tried that with the light to dark... do you use the light colors on the whole area or just the places where it's light???
Cause usually I go from dark to light...and I don't do midtone.. >.> though I should start too XD
Haha maybe you should make a tutorial XD
Yeah! That's what I want for my skin tones! XD
I think it looks pretty good!
Thanks for the help!

Aww! I love pudgy girls, too!!! :3
When I use prismacolors, I like to start with a light layer of the highlight color - then do another light with the main skin tone, and then with the shadow. Then, add in darker parts where you want them pressing harder, blend between colors by pressing harder with the middle color in between midtone/shadow and the highlight in between highlight/midtone. Lastly, I take either the highlight color or white, and do a medium pressed layer over the whole thing to smooth it out (but experiment to see what you like :D )
oh gosh...I dont know if that makes sense @____@ Maybe I should make coloring tutorials? XD
Thats how I did the skintones on this http://www.theotaku.com/fanart/view/339422/awesome Which I think turned out pretty good XD (look better in real life though @___@
