Better then my digital art, then again i only go pixel by pixel when I'm trying to make some cool monster thing.. I'm guessing you didn't go pixel by pixel considering you mentioned that it was fun.

Hm...the size of your brush depends on the size of your image and what effect you're trying to get. For a lighter, subtle looking lineart, I would start with a large sketch/scan (in the thousands on each side, maybe?). I would then grab a 1 or 2 pixel hard round brush set on control>pen pressure and quickly line the sketch using short sketchy strokes over each other. It looks messy up close, but since the picture is big, when you make it a decent size then it looks like a single fluffy light line. If you're doing a more manga-style or cartoony picture, I would use a 4 or 5 pixel hard round brush (for example, in my comic I use a 4-pixel brush) and draw the lines a bit less sketchy. I would start with a larger picture to get rid of so much erasing since the little mistakes will disappear when you resize it. (Hope that made sense...D:)
If you start out with a black lineart, I know how to change the color of it to match the picture. If you want it to fit with the colors of the image in different places, I would just slightly increase the brightness on the layer to make the lineart dark dark grey, then change the layer mode to "multiply". If you want to make the lineart one color instead, like a dark blue, I would increase the brightness of the layer to make it dark grey, then go to Color Balance and slide the cursor towards blue to change the color. You can also mess with the color sliders or the brightness of the layer until you get the color you want.
Hope that wasn't too confusing. I plan on making a tutorial for lineart to go with the next picture I'm planning, so maybe I can clear things up then. :)

Thanks! I'm glad it looks good for a first try. :] I'm REALLY in love with my tablet xD I totally see the addiction a lot of people have with drawing on it. Its fun and challenging at the same time :D
Now all I need is more practice!
Actually, his lineart was intentional! lol, the rest was supposed to be sepperate, however that is something that seems off to me either way. I'm still not used to the whole color thing since when I mix colors in the program, it looks totally different once I actually use it (I'm not sure if you now what I mean). Do you know how to change line-art colors without having to keep erasing and re-doing or the best thickness of the brush to use?
Thanks a bunch for the critique by the way!! I'm keeping that in mind for the next time :D
Awww this is so magical! I really like the characters in the smoke, and the colours of the town on the hill. The face in the corner reminds me of the magic mirror in Snow White...
I think this is an EPIC first try with a tablet, I do still love your traditional works though <3

I've been wanting to draw a picture like this for a long time, but my laziness always gets the best of me. D: You did an AMAZING job for your first try with both digital painting and a tablet! I'm sure you'll totally fall in love with tablets; they can be so useful. :D
Hmm...suggestions, suggestions...This is just my opinion, but the little bits of lineart on the boy's hair and feet seem a little dark and stand out more from the rest of the picture. I also can't see the people's faces too well, but it's totally okay if you meant to give it that look. If it were me, I might lighten the lines to give the whole picture a lineless look or make more lineart elsewhere to even it out. Heck, I don't know. It's hard to give critique to stuff this awesome. x3
