There are some things that I just hear now and then such as your foot is as long as your forearm, the length of your hand [if you touch your palm to your chin] is as long as the distance from your chin to the middle of your forehead, and [while standing straight up] your elbows should line up with your belly button :D

Amazing how you can come up with 6 different gorgeous pictures with a limited color pallet. NO LIE I WOULD FAIL AT THAT LOL

For the semi-realism, here are some tips I just read on that:

• For the eyes, the distance between both of your eyes is about the width of an eye apart.
  You could also measure this by the fact that the distance is also a nose width apart.
  Eyes are about halfway down your head.

• For ears, the top of your ear should line up with your eyebrow.

• For your mouth, the ends of your mouth should line up to the center of your eye when your not smiling.

You do well with all of those imo XD!
Like you said, the only thing wrong with yours is that the eye needs to be pushed up just a little bit. ♥
