Thank you! I agree, I dislike how lined paper makes the drawing look, but I just cant get into the habit of constantly drawing on non lined paper. Mainly because all of my non lined paper is loose leaf and not in a notebook. Maybe I shouldve asked for a regular sketch book for christmas :D

I love seeing original characters from original stories, it kind of gives you a peek inside the artist's different personalities and interests.
Your proportions came out rather well, which is something I generally have to point out when I'm commenting. Sure, something might be a tad askew here or there but no harm done. Her smile gives off such a content and warm feeling you really can't help but trust her.
One thing I would like to point out, and merely because it's a pet peeve of mine, but you really shouldn't draw on lined paper. It sort of downgrades the look and, no matter how good the piece is, makes it look sloppy and lazy. Invest in a sketchbook! They're great for when you just want to doodle, and if you find out you actually like what you're drawing then it's already on unlined paper, no harm done. :)
Like I said, it might not bother some, I just feel that if you want to look professional and that you know what you're doing, don't draw on lined paper.
