I dont know about SAI. In photoshop, you could "thin out lineart" by erasing the excess width or by setting the transparency of the lineart to more transparent. Beware of setting the transparency value. The lineart absorbs the underlaying color. Some people like it, some don't. Hope it helps...feel free to ask any questions.
