The character I'm doing now wears lolita and the guy just wears casual clothing. I like looking at how mangaka draw their characters so I usually gt inspired from mangas/manwhas.

Most people start out by imitating other art styles. When I began drawing, I copied Koge Donbo's art style; even today one can see some of her influence in my work. TheOtaku has many people who copy other artists but don't be afraid to do so! Inspiration is very important.
I decided what style I was aiming for when I was young (cute girls with big eyes and frilly dresses) what do you want to draw? Is there a particular type of fashion that your characters wear?

Coming up with my own style and stuff. I am trying to work with paint. I have the whole summer so I'll start practicing.

thanks! The process itself doesn't take long but the trial and errors made making the background a little more lengthy.
