Ah I know! Those little vicious sisters and brother who hog computers xP hahaha
Oh wow, that's a ton of work! And standing all day would kill me! But I bet the tamales taste awesome home-made!!! too bad they aren't easier to make. My mom makes a lot of snack breads like banana loaf or cornbread and my sister makes deserts. I always have to make sure I don't eat too much, cuz those deserts are addicting! And me? I make muffins from a package LOL
One thing my family makes every Christmas is gingerbread houses and cookies! And then we decorate them. We just did some cookies yesterday. They are soo good!
Haha poor you! Are you the youngest in your family? I'm the oldest, so I don't have to worry about being hugged by older people unless its by my parents xP
But she'll bite if I do! XD I'm kidding! I would give you a tamale, but I can't they haven't been yet! XD
Yeah they a big pain to make because you have to prepare a bunch of stuff for them, and It takes a day to have everything done. Cooking them take forever to, it take about 2 or 3 hours for them to boil. I have to help my mom since my sister won't do it! I would like to just clean, but no I have to help or else my mom won't finish in time, I don't mind but it's so boring and our legs hurt from just standing there for hours making them! XD
I don't mind hugging the little kids, but I hate hugging my older sisters they cling to me! XD and my brother sqeezes me since he only gets to hug me once a year
Lol can I have a tamale too? XD just kidding, though I would be sure to love them if I lived closer to you!
Haha its funny to hear you say they're so bothersome to make! especially since its a tradition of yours. I understand cuz I usually get bored with making stuff too >3< My sister is the one who usually does all the cooking with my mom. We just eat it lol
Ahh the hugging! >3< Same! I wouldn't mind hugging my littlest brother cuz he's so cute, but not anyone else haha!
Sure, I'll tell him! He knows you since he looks at your art with me^^ Aha and tell your sister to share your computer!!! xD
lol Yes everybody loves tamales, I can't mention anything at work about those or else everyone would be asking me if they could have one! XD It's a popular thing, but they are such a pain to make and it's so boring! XD
That day is a hassle for me, but the party is fine, I just don't really like the hugging part!
Aw, tell your brother I say happy birthday then! XD It sounds like you'll be pretty busy to!! ^_^
lol balme my sister for being the computer hog!
Ah yes, I was missing you! Lol but thats fine^^ I've been busy too, but I think most of my work is done! I don't have to walk dogs now until after Christmas :) Its a nice break!
Thats such a cool tradition! Thanks for telling me about it :D My family doesn't do much on New Year's Eve >u< It sounds like you guys have tons of fun! I don't think I've had Tamales before, but are they like samosas? I would love them if they are! Oo and cakes too! YUM YUM :D
OwO LUCKY YOU!!! I wish it was snowing where I live but it isn't Dx
Tomorrow is my little brother's birthday... he's officially turning 8. I think we'll be most busy on Christmas Eve though, since we'll be doing most of our Christmas celebration then (my other brother is going to work on Sunday for a bit so we won't be able to open gifts Sunday morning when he's gone x3)
2 more days left!! 8D I think I can finish your OC art for Christmas! :D
oh my gosh sorry for the late reply, my sister had been hogging my computer for the past 2 days!
lol New Year's eve is really busy for my family. We have a traditon we do and we prepare this tradtional food called Tamales and those take nearly a full day to make, afterwards we have to clean the house which is to welcome the New Year, Later we have a party, then at midnight everyone hugs! lol It's fun all, then we stay up for a while!
It actually feels more busy then Christmas! Oh and it's finally snowing where I am, so it might be a White Christmas! XD Oh My it's so close now! XD
I forgot we also bake cakes and stuff! so much work in one day and then to have ever thing done by 7 pm to be ready for midnight! XD
Waaah! So you're still busy after Christmas, you don't get a break! Usually my family settles down after Christmas passes, but we're even more busy during the Christmas week cuz my little brother has a birthday on the 23rd!
Yeah, I know! I couldn't believe it when I looked at my calendar. I actually thought there was 2 weeks left... but there's only like 5 days till the 25th! I'm excited, but I'm more excited to get things done and post them on theO for everyone :D And of course, I'm hoping for more wintery weather >_< I like the snow and cold. And the best thing to do is to drink hot chocolate, listen to Christmas music, and go for a night walk to look at Christmas lights^^ Do you ever do those things? :)
lol christmas conversation now!!! I can't beleive it either, I was shocked when I realized it was coming up so fast! lol New Year's is going to more bust for me though, since I have to help my mom out for stuff! XD have to get everything done by midnight! XD
Ahaha conversation closed >u< lol It was fun though! We'll need to think of something else to talk about art sometime. Lol about those paper cuts... XD
I'm gonna reply to your PM soon too, but I can't believe how busy I am right now!! (busy in a good way of course^^) but the thing thats making me excited and nervous is that Christmas is this SUNDAY!! i can't believe it came so fast >_< I still have lots to do lol
lol it's okay! I saw one of those the last time I went to the art store! I wanted to try it out, but I didn't get it. I just got some more ink pens and some copics! XD
It's okay, I ran out of paper topics too! unless you wanna talk about paper cuts! XD I'm just kidding!
I know! Its a funny conversation but very interesting! But I'm running out of paper topics to talk about xD Oh, I also bought a comic-book board at the end of summer but I haven't used it yet. It has all the guidelines for printing so its cool... But i'm afraid of messing up on it >_< lol
I know, my teacher was really good at recommending paper for me, she also gave me smaples, now I'm on my own. I would ask the clerks there about the paper, but I don't they'd know.
lol It's funny cause I've never had a conversation about paper either! XD
Lol haha! I've never had a conversation about paper, but its good for since I've already learned some things about paper that I didn't know before.. I really had no idea about what paper to buy once and it drove me crazy. =_= I had to stop being shy and ask a sales clerk to recommend a type of paper for my copics >_< Its not fair that you can't try the paper out at the store before buying it lol x3
Ok! Thanks, I'll try bristol sometime then^^
I can try searching for Borden&Riley rag paper online or something. Bristol is really good paper, but expensive! It's very thick and it feels like card paper. My teacher gave me some and I loved it! But it's not really good for marker, not cryola anyways, but I think it'd be good for copics though!!!
lol we're talking about paper! XD
Hey you could try Borden&Riley rag paper... its good with markers. Its thin paper, but it doesn't bleed too much with markers or wrinkle at all. And I once heard that bristol is good paper too, but I've never used it. My experience with papers are limited =_= But I'm sure about that watercolour paper! You don't want to get it for markers.
eh really? I didn't know that about the water color paper! I may have to rethink then! I would use sketch paper, but I don't like how my markers look on it.
I don't really know what paper to use or what to recommend either! XD I also do that with my paper so it won't go through! XD
Okay, got it! Thanks for the tips and advice! I just LOVE the feeling of having so much art paper x3 but then I also can't buy the right stuff >_< Once I used to just buy paper from the dollarstore so I could have a ton of cheap paper, but it always made me smudge with pencil and it was so-so with my other markers. I'm thinking of sticking with the paper I'm using with my copics, but its good to have another good choice for other mediums.
Oh just one thing I heard once... Watercolour paper really sucks markers dry. It would probably still work alright though! And I'll always remember to put something behind my good copy paper so it won't go through to the other side! thanks again :D
I think that the more expensive paper would be good for Copic Markers though. I myself want to use some water color paper for my cryolas, so I can spend more time making effects without the paper tearing. I just never get the chance to go to the art store, and I don't want to order anything online right now.
The computer paper is fine too, and it takes a while to run out unless you draw way to much! XD
oh and you have to be careful not to color through the paper, I've wrecked some drawing that way! XD
Thanks, yes it does help! Thankyou for explaining it to me :) I didn't know you used regular computer paper like that (even though its a bit thicker). Thats great that you can get awesome results with it and your markers! Maybe its just me, but I heard that expensive paper is the way to go with marker art xP I guess that was wrong xP
I use Borden&Riley rag marker paper, but I'm going to need some new paper soon so maybe I'll try out something new :)
By the way, I just have to say again that BMC is a great comic so far! All of your comics are really cool and well done!
I just like to draw a lot which was why this comic was in color, I was also releasing some stress too.
For paper, I just use regular computer copy paper, but the paper I use is a little thicker then the normal paper. The paper I use is Ink Jet & Laser, 92 Brightness* 145 whiteness*, 24 lbs.
That paper is a little thicker then the normal paper, but I'm not sure if you would find it. Where I get it, it's a red package. XD
The blue paper I used for this comic was paper my brother gave me, but I don't know where he got it.
Wow! Nice work! I really want to read your BMC fan comic now! I'll check it out later :) I tried colouring one of my comics once (thats why I got copics in the first place) but it was too hard =_= Either you're a really dedicated artist or you're super girl! Oh I have a question! What type of paper did you use for this comic? If there's anything I have trouble with buying, its paper. I need some advice!
thank you, i like the plastic, i always draw on loose paper sice i i don't like ssketch book and the plastic is good to have everything organized!!! XD
by the way, which character is on your avatar? they look cool!!!
