Scanners have a habit of ruining colours sometimes so thats no big deal mate. And after some long hard hours of practice i'm sure that you'll be a master of the copic marker! *grins* So far mate your doing really great.
Ahh I see I see. Thank you for the tip Kaijin~! Now I gotta invest in a gel pen as well as more colors xDDD
Thank you for commenting Kaijin. I hope you don't mind but I might be asking for some of your guidance with my copics someday cuz you're the only person I know that uses them often in your art ^^
Ahaha yeah my bad for the brightness xD But when I just regularly scanned it in the shadows didn't show up correctly so I went and color restored it with my scanner's settings lol I need more colors T^T
Aiyaa my unsteady hand Dx Yeah I'm gonna be sure to get it down though
I will practice more now that I've got the hang of it somewhat lol Thank you for you comment Matt I really do appreciate it >w<b
I think it came out really nice. The highlights and her skin tone are good, and I love the flower detail on the fans. The only real thing I see amiss is the color bleed. (But markers bleed all the time.) Whenever I use my Copics, I usually try to fix it with a white gel pen.
Personly I think that you did a pretty good job here mate. There are some bleeding marks outside of your lines here and there, and teh colours look almost TOO bright. Like you maxed out the contrast bar or something. But the way you have done the shadows on her clothing and skin look pretty damn good. The diffrent shades and darknesses around her skin are done rather cleanly and look controled.
I do see in the larger areas a little bit of those dreaded squeegy marks. You know those ones that give away that your useing a marker? There is a few in the lower half of her kimono, and sash. Or what ever the hell that thing is called. The highlights looks wonderful though mate. All those fancy white bits look thought out and tehre isn't too much bleed marks from your markers.
Over all mate this looks good. It really does. I'm no expert on how a COPIC colour job should look like but I think you did a fine job here.
Have a little faith in yourself and keep practicing!!
