Thank you!! :D Angel explained how she did the sand here. Do you have photoshop? Perhaps other programs can do it too :P Anyways it's basically going to your brush settings --> shape dynamics and then increase the size jitter and decrease the minimum diamater. Then go to scattering --> scatter the full 100% and then put the count quite low. Lastly go to color dynamics and turn on some saturation jitter to get different tints of sand.
For the color I used a light brown, reddish brown and some greyish brown. And for perspective I simply used a smaller brush size in the background ;) If you want you can also make your brush look like a rock in stead of a dot by making your own brush :)

Yeah ,you really mastered the sand skill .I can see the depth of the background with the sand and you really got that well.Great detail at the sea,it's wonderful to see the sky and the clouds working so well.I can see you used a bit of brush settings and hope that did help you with the background making dear dragon gril.You know I love to see your artworks and the dedication is really special.
I can see also those brushed details at Lapras,I really liked this one.It's bene long I don't draw pokemon but the last time I did it was a gijinka.
About the secrets of 3-D,I finally have an example to share with you: 3-D
