well... i think that was the only time i put that much time in painting...^^ i prefer drawing manga. it's more effecient ;)
and sucker punch... i love it for the great pictures and settings. and the psycological side of it is good, too. but i think most people watched it for the action^^

*comment stalks* Wow, it took you 12 hours?! You can definitely tell all the hard work you put in to it, especially with the shading. I haven't seen Sucker Punch yet, is it good? Anyways, excellent work and take care!
it is watercolor. you just need to take your time... i think i needed about twelve hour of actual work for this one (without breaks). the darker the area the more layers of paint i used. i start with the lightest color and add slightly darker layers. in this case i sometimes used up to ten layers or so...
good thing i barely paint realistic pictures. so i usually only need two or three layers ;)
Is this watercolor? because it is absolutely amazing, how do you get such clean crisp shading like that? Patience I assume, which I don't have XD There are a few issues with proportion, but those can be fixed with practice. Anyways, nice take on some realism.
