Ah, really? That episode...I didn't feel brave enough to look up pictures of them until now because every time I thought of that characters I would cry...such a sad anime...;m;
I'm watching this series right now! I'll be watching the last ep. tonight, but I know the scene this is from. Yeah, it really strikes you when it happens, and you feel like going back to watch the earlier episodes.
Good choice for the challenge. Mirai's pose is so appropriate, and it communicates her anguish effectively, I think.

Thank you! And, yes! It really is sad. The whole thing is about the citizens of Tokyo trying to survive the aftermath of an 8.0 earthquake...;m; You should definitely watch it when you have time (and cry your eyes out when you get to the end).
