Thanks so much! I really was on a LoZ kick - it's kind of subsided for the moment (I've started drawing some other things), but I'm sure it will resurface. And I'll have to do more LoZ drawings, in association with my challenge / prizes, so that's a thing!
Looove this perspective! Especially the bird overhead against the sky...oh, so good! Loving all the LoZ fan art from you lately. Makes me happy. Great job!
Thanks Petie! I've had a lot of fun with the game so far, but seriously, I'm beginning to think I've logged as many hours drawing Legend of Zelda drawings now as I have spent playing SS. I thought this picture would be fun to do - and skydiving references are really easy to find on the Google-internet machine.
You mentioned that you recently hit 500 comments - I may do the same responding to all of your recent Zelda works!
This turned out really well and it was an awesome idea to take it from below rather than the usual above the clouds look. And speaking of clouds, I think they look fine ^_^
This looks amazing! I love the color and texture of it, can you tell me what mediums and what you used to color it with? Great job, and keep it up! I love seeing all of your Zelda art
My little secret is... it's winter and I'm hibernating anyway! This crazy pace wouldn't be happening in the summer. Too cold to go outside? Just draw! Although recently, I think I've logged more hours making LoZ drawings than playing Skyward Sword... haha.
Oh! Sorry! ^_^; I see that now. lol You have to look over me sometimes, I can be pretty slow. lol It looks great either way. :D I love that shade of blue.
Diving would be pretty awesome at night. :P This really gets me pumped for Skyward Sword. *kicks Assassin's Creed*
Thanks - really glad you like it! I was kind of going for the sun, but hey - one heavenly body for another! Haha. In the canon of the game, this scene actually couldn't happen at night - the loftwings don't fly after nightfall (geeky answer, I know). But yeah, the coloring does look more like night than day. That's what I get for not using references, etc.! Haha.
Oh yeah, absolutely! Definitely feel free to print this. I'm not making the round of cons anymore, not aiming to sell any fanart. I really don't mind! And this is for you anyway :D
Hah, yes, it has been quite an awesome ride - with Link and The Legend of Zelda propelling us to work together and collaborate towards sharing our enthusiasm for this fantastic series on this site!
So glad you like it, and as always - I would love to see whatever else you might come up with to enter into the challenge!
WOOOOAAAH!!! I was so excited to see the dedication notice, and now I'm just stunned at your art!!! It actually felt like Link was falling through my computer screen!!!! Its totally awesome! The perspective is AMAZINGly PERFECT! and I love the background too! The clouds are beautifully done (I shall take your advice!) :D I love how you inked Link but not the rest of the artwork Just... WOW! I love it so much!!! Thankyou thankyou!! *hugs* When I get printer ink, may I print this out for myself?? I'll definitely give you credit of course^^ Thanks so much for painting this for me!
And it was a pleasure to enter your challenge! I may even draw more entries if I have enough time^^ Wow, I'm still shaking my head at the brilliance of this painting! I'm so glad to have met you! I'll keep in touch for sure :D *hugs* <3
Link's even more of a hero now for bringing us together to become friends ^_^ Thankyou!

Yes, that really is one of my favorite aspects of the game - so much so that I've drawn another skydiving picture, haha!

I really like the clouds in this piece. They are so pretty! I like how you did the night sky and the moon too. It really adds depth.
Diving looks fun. :O I can already tell that I'm going to be doing that a lot when I play Skyward Sword. lol
Once again, this is amazing and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. :D Happy drawing!
