Thankyou! When I used to paint, I would do backgrounds and then foregrounds, but thats harder to do with marker since it can't overlap... But in the background of the finished Little Angel, I did have to stick a foreground on top! maybe that counts xD
I'll keep all your advice in mind when I do more art^^ *hugs*

Ah I see. I've heard of them, but never used them. You do a great job using the markers ^^ and that sounds like an interesting technique, pouring ink onto the page. I bet if I tried that it would make an awful mess!

lol like i dont mind doing them it just takes time to write one out and study your work. The flowers i had a hard time saying something is wrong with them but im not sure what but there isn't a lot of background showing from the flowers but i can tell a bit. Here's another tip work from background to foreground :) it will help you a lot especially with painting (im not sure if you knew that or not lol) But i'm happy that you enjoy that i will do more for you just give me sometime XD *hugs* don't worry i'm trying to be harsh lol i won't be harsh i will say my honest opinions :)

Thankyou, Anna! I used Copic markers to colour it... they are really amazing when it comes to blending! And the finished work with the background will probably be up today. I actually had to pour the marker ink straight onto the paper instead of colouring it with a marker as I had a huge space to cover x3 (copics will streak if they have time to dry, so they work better in smaller spaces). Thanks again for you kind words!

Yeah, I just added a background and afterwards, I actually did notice that the clothes and some of the facial parts needed to be emphasized a bit more so I fixed them. I'll fix the roses too though, so there isn't too much white showing.
Just to let you know before I post the finished work, in the background I sorta messed up on some things including the moon (cuz it wasn't even supposed to be a moon in the first place xP) so please be merciful on me! xD Just kidding.. I just wanted to let you know beforehand. I really appreciate your critiques! Thankyou :D *hugs*

Alrighty i'm going to be critiquing this one so here goes :D

The idea behind this is very cute with the whole chibi and angel wings and her sitting on a rail with a lot of flowers personally i really like this idea i mean it's cute and simple very pleasant i don't see anything wrong with it. I feel that you were going for a more peaceful feel to this piece of art. :)

Composition/principles: The placement of your artwork is really good for being a bull's eye view with your angel chibi being in the center of the piece. The rail with the flowers at the bottom of the piece really balances it off with your angel chibi being on more top of the piece. The principle that you used was balance which i'm just seeing from you art work and also a little bit of pattern that i see with the coloring of the rails and her wings has like a dot pattern going on.

Elements/Skills/techniques: I really love how you colored this piece of work. i like how you give it a very soft feeling to your coloring which i really love. But i feel like you should add a bit more darks into your art work like a bit more in the eyes and the face and i see that her lips have some pink but i can barely tell if there is any there or not. I see that your main focus was on the wings face eyes and hair. I feel that you need a bit more working into the clothing part of her and also the rail and flower parts because i feel that they are not finished. Maybe going into more darks for the rails and more color to the flowers because i can still white in them from the paper. I really like how the colors blend with each other especially in the eye it's is beautiful how it all blends together. I wish there was a background to your piece to make it completely finished but over all this is really a good piece of art work from you and it is cute i must say :) ♥ your focus was more on color in this one with all the bright soft colors which i really love and another focus that you used was texture because i see it in the wings and the rail in this piece.
If you do have any questions at all please feel free to ask it can be hard to understand the language of art at times but i hoped you enjoyed this and learn from this

Thankyou! I'm super happy you like her, and thanks for your nice encouraging comments! Lol I actually wasn't sure what to do for the background but it's turned out to be a night sky xP I had to use so much black ink that I did the unthinkable... I dripped the copic in straight onto the paper from the ink bottle O_o I didn't want to leave it like how it is though as it didn't look finished. I'll let you know when I post the finished pic! I'm glad you like it so far!
