Oh yeah, you should! If you do, check out the copic multi-liners or copic SP liners. I might get an SP multiliner soon, its ink can be refilled! Anyways, they work much better and don't smudge! I hope you find some if you go shopping!

The liner that I have just absorbs in the paper. But I think I know what type you're talking about... I have one that has thicker ink too. Its like a ball-point ink marker and the ink really flows out and then it doesn't dry right away and it will smudge with colour. But the Micron Sakura pigma multi-liner doesn't just sit on the top of the paper so it doesn't smudge with coloured pencil or marker^^

Thankyou for your kind words, my friend! It actually was a bit difficult at first... the texture is definitely way different and I felt like I had to keep going over and over to darken the colours. but after the first part, it gets sorta easy and fun!! :D

Thanks again^^ I used a Micron pigma black multi-liner... I was actually wondering about how it would turn out with the coloured pencils being outlined with marker, but I think its the best way. If you just used pencil or black coloured pencil, the outline would be a bit dimmer and smudgier I think. The multi-liner worked well I think!
Oooo I can't wait! I know you'll do something really good! When I started, I wasn't exactly sure what to draw either until this girl popped into my head. You'll get an idea!! ;D

Thanks, Toya! It was different so I kept wanting to go over and over it to make the colours darker like marker! Its good that I've saved all my childhood coloured pencils :D I have quite a few similar colours so its easy to blend 'em a bit! I'm thinking of doing a marker+coloured pencil artwork some time for fun! You should try them out as wel^^
