Even the stigma of taking extremes to lose weight can cause people to break down. It's like people goad others to be skinny, but then when they do they have to deal with the stigma of anorexia or bulimia. It's basically a lose-lose situation (people are on your case for being heavy or starving yourself) where it's impossible to please anyone. It's really quite distressing; especially since those most inclined toward these disorders are those who really want to please others.
I agree with the description. Sorry if this might get too intellectual, but in today's norm all you can see are girls in their teens starving themselves and taking on diet pills to achieve what they believe, is the perfect body. These "perfect bodies" are mostly shown in the media, such as models and celebrities, and that subliminally and subconsciously, the young girls of today are compelled to follow the foot steps of their idols.
