I wasn't sure how I'd make this picture work in terms of contrasts, especially since it's almost entirely in one color - green. But after much time, I think I figured it out so the piece wouldn't look so blandly monochromatic. It sure did take a while, though!
I never did work with green too much, but it is a very nice color, I agree!

Time. Lots and lots of time really helps! After a while you get a feel of how to use certain paints, then you know what to expect from them almost in advance. Thanks for the comment!
I was also worried about making it too dark and sparse, which is the opposite worry about making it too cluttered. I think having the clouds layered and toned the way they are helped a lot.
I usually keep track of how long I spend on a piece, but this time I didn't. All I really can say is that I worked on this for approximately 3 weeks. Working with multiple layers of acrylics really takes time, but I like the results I get when I take my time with the paints!
I was wondering how long this great picture took!
It's a long work and I bet you had a strong inspiration to draw something like this.I will go for acrylics and a long making in all the tones and shades for the picture. It's really one to remember, it's very detailed and inspiring at the same time.
Wow, that's pretty impressive with acrylics! I think the overall composition looks great, the background makes up for the negative space in the picture so I don't think you need anything else extra added. Nice job!
Hey. Just here to tell you to stop being so amazing at drawing. asklfjlaskfjd
Okay, not really. I love when you update your portfolio! Your drawings are always so beautiful!!! ;0; The coloring is amazingngngnngdsg.gsdam. *spazzes* Especially the background! Dead Master looks beautiful, but those cloudssss... *3* I think it's fantastic that you did this with acrylic paints. :,D Keep that traditional art alive! Aha. Seriously, amazing job with this.
And... end of weird comment.
I should have also mentioned that I've never used so many variations on one color in a single piece, until this one! I'm not sure how many shades of green I used, but I know it's quite a bit. Even what looks like black is actually dark dark green. The white is very light green, too.
Hummm I'm like wow!
It's been a long time I don't see you into something artistic 100% speaking :3 .Well it really comes in a hard time for art and so it's very welcomed.I knew your great strength was sleeping waiting for the time to come back and say hi.Really nice artwork, the green tones are hard to merge in this kind of picture,it just goes inside like with a punch.
Also noticed the back tones that for me make like a cave formation even thou the end effect was aimed for smoke with green lights. It's good to leave imagination some room for interpretation.
Frantastic artwork!
Hope you keep drawing as I enjoy your pictures greatly master.

I love working with paints. It's time consuming, but it all pays off when it all starts to come together.
The background took up quite some time. So many subtle layers of cloud formations and colors, ahh!
Weird comments are always welcome!
