I took a class in college and she gave me suggestions and stuff, but then she'd be back adjusting some stuff so it made me uncomfortable. I don't mind suggestions, but when they start messing with my drawing I get uncomfortable. XD
Well, I took it in college and yes, she did walk around the room and give suggestions, but she wasn't that intrusive. Rather because of her suggestion, I came up with one of the best self-portraits in the class =3
lol I have taken some art classes, but I've never felt comfortable in them. I just wish that those art teachers would be more like my HS Art teachers and give me space instead of hovering over me "Correcting" my drawing. @_@ I think that I just need to practice realism on my own? XD
I'd say (this doesn't need to be spoiler anymore XD) that if you can afford it, you should try taking a drawing class =3 Even though it's a lot of things they've taught in high school art classes, starting from the basics is a nice fresh start to help build a foundation. Also, I didn't take art seriously in high school =ouo;= I didn't think much about it back then, but I'm surprised I passed =o3o;= The teacher was cool, tho. He let us bring in music CDs and play them on his computer for the class so long as they weren't explicit XD;
As far as portraits go, yes they give you more trouble because you're trying to make them look realistic, so in that sense, yes,, they can be challenging =ouo;=
No problem! I don't know, I've been asked to draw some portraits for people but I never feel comfortable with them, sometimes realism gives me a hard time so the anime version is always easier. I really should take the challenge of realism though? XD
*shrugs* I guess it was worked out? Iunno. Ah, but with portraits, you often have the subject in front of you... It's tedious, yes, but you're moreso drawing what you see. I couldn't say which is easier... I guess maybe anime version is easier because you don't have to be accurate, persay...
Actually, I didn't post it at all =o3o;= I'll probably post it as a draft, since it's not as good XD;
Hm... y'know I'm not really sure if you could call it working things out... It was a misunderstanding back then, still, I've stopped caring about whether or not he keeps in contact, now XD Yes, it is a portrait XD rather an anime version X3

Actually, those are watercolor pencils =3 you can use them like regular colored pencils and then if you add water, the strokes become paint =D In hindsight, I should've drawn it on watercolor paper, since it started to wrinkle and curl a bit XD; Yes, the bg is a gradient from photoshop =3

I see, I just looked at the other one and I think it's nice.
It was a misunderstanding that need to be worked out? XD An anime portrait, those are always fun, better and easier then a real portrait? XD
