Blue is my favourite colour as well x3 The blue 3DS is nice, it almost has a teal shine to it? Oh also, you might want to look into a screen protector for the touch screen too! its funny, I bought a clear sticker screen protector once and I ended up using the backing of the sticker instead xD I still have it! It fits nicely but it falls off cuz its not sticky. The sticker ones work but I don't know the best ones. Its good to have the touch screen protected though especially if you're doing the art game! you don't want it all scratched up by the pen!

when I started learning digital programs, it was confusing with the layers! I took a photoshop class in college and I was able to figure out stuff! XD but most of the time I just looked it up on the net.
I think it's easy to draw in Sai or sketchbook pro then it is to draw in photoshop.
lol it's funny I searched the 3ds some today and I learned more about it, most of the stuff you told me about though! and I really like it! I kind of want to get a blue one! I think that one looks pretty and blue's my favorite color! Or I might get a black one? I'm not sure yet!

Sketchbook Pro is meant for just drawing so it every easy to use and it's like drawing on paper! XD I really like the pencil tool in that so that's what I used to do most of the drawing, I used the brush tool to color big spots!
You're doing well doing your drawing game and I think you will do really good when you start doing bigger work on a program like Sai,photoshop or even sketchbook pro!
I think I've made up my mind about the 3ds, I think I will get it but I will wait to till I save up some money for it! XD

I actually worked over a overlaying picture that was already drawn. But the program also allows me to draw a sketch and take a picture of it and then re-line it and colour^^ So the program is pretty cool like that! aww I'm really happy you like it, izuzu! :D

There's a neat Zelda game that I really enjoy, and I have the pet game Nintendogs xD I hear that Icarus Uprising it really good game but I've never played it. And there are Mario games. And also a free download with pokemon info and profile things! I'm sure there'll be some new games coming out soon too! Definitely check it out x3 I'd love if you got one sometime!

Ah! I'm glad you're interested in Copics! But yeah, phew.. They're definitely expensive! I got the Ciao type though, they're the cheapest. I heard a friend who saw a pack of 72 markers for $500 O_o But never spend that money on them, I didn't! I think its best to start with a small, affordable pack. And then just build your collection one by one. Thats what I did! I still spend a lot but it doesn't feel like my $ is going down the drain xD Either way, they are definitely worth it to buy them!

Awesome!! Yes, no problem! I've been buying the DSs since they came out and they've evolved now. I got the first two old ones. Here's a pic: Evolution. Don't get any of these though, they are all old!!
The nintendo 3DS is the latest installment. So far, its worked really well for me! It has all these features that the older 3 don't have. And the price has gone donw quite a bit since it came out. I was silly and bought it for $300 @_@ but now its under $200 uncluding tax.
So its obviously a system to play gamecards, but the 3DS has other features like an eShop to instantly buy little games including the Colours 3D game! (it gets transferred to your system immediately)
The 3D is a cool feature, but its good that it has a depth slider so you can turn the 3D to different levels or even turn it off if you want. The 3D is cool for games though!
It also has a camera installed (not the best quality) and a note-sending game that you can download for free and send notes over wifi!! I mostly use it for wifi, except be warned that you can't comment on theO.. you can only write emails and look at art. Sucks about no comments.
You can also read manga, but only on websites such as mangareader.com... they don't have to load as much! Its not too slow either.
Also, there's the top screen and bottom screen. The bottom screen is a touch screen.
Lol phew! Sorry for all the info! I hope its not confusing!! If you got a 3DS, it would be awesome though :D You could play the Colours 3D program and we could send written notes to each other! :D I highly recommend the 3DS now that is gone down in price and has lots more features added onto it!

It looks like that game is pretty similar to photoshop or sai since you said you worked in layers. Layers can be a little confusing but once you get us to them, it's easy, you just got to remember what's on which layer! XD

Yes definitely! There's this scroll for the brush size and opacity. There's also the colour wheel for whatever colours your want, an undo/redo/copy/past button, zoom, colour-picker thing, and then 3D options too! The only thing that sucks is that the replay records only about 6 hours of work and after that, the undo button will only undo to your last save cuz of memory or something =_= That was a fact that slapped me in the face cuz I ended up getting confused and not saving my work properly Dx but now I've got a hang of it!

The drawing can be seen in 3D too, if I draw on different layers. IN this pic, the girl was in the middle layer and I had layers in front with the petals and then layers in the back with petals and the tree. It confused me so much!! XD But I've got a hang of it now and I'm doing a fun landscape based on a ref pic. I'l upload that after too^^ Thankyou SO much again, Toya!

It actually does have layers but they work mainly with the 3D capabilities. But if I turn the 3D off, I believe I could use the layers just the same as Gimp! There's a limit of 5 layers though. The game is simple compared to Gimp but also has lots of options considering its only a little download game... at least its giving me a taste of digital! I'm really happy you enjoyed this pic^^

I know right! Seriously you've become really good real quickly with digital art. I still kinda suck at doing line art digitally. If i start from scratch on the computer with drawing I usually just outline it all with colors (general shape of body etc) and then start filling in all the details. ANyways I was talking about you, not me lolz. I especially love the eye coloring as well, the eyes gleam.

Hehe I'll try and see if i can post at least one of em tomorrow. I'm still working on a painting, which started of with a bad color scheme but I somehow managed to change it and hope it works out nicely.
