Ah thats happened to me before too, and it ends up irking me a bit >3< I feel like changing my ideas if I find them in another story! But you should be proud, you must have a mind like Miyazaki then! x3 I didn't know you were writing a story thats neat!
Yeah you're probably right... we'll have to keep our ears open for new on it! I wish I will be able to see Arrietty sometime soon too^^
Yeah, a trailer wouldn't hurt... but the funny thing was that some of the elements of the story I've read about in reviews for the movie appear in the story I'm writing (a prince, wizard-like characters, etc... Then again, I am writing a fantasy series, after all...)
Unfortunately, I don't know when they'll release Poppy Hill, but given that they just released Arrietty on DVD, we've probably got a while before they do a theatrical run... my guess is next year?

I've heard that Tales from Earthsea isn't very good compared to Ghibli's other works (according to some people); despite that, I just can't say that it interests me (not to mention it's the 2nd Ghibli film to be rated PG-13).
Also, From Up on Poppy Hill hasn't been released by Disney yet, but when it is, I'll be sure to go see it, or at least eventually rent it :D
Nice :D Enjoy your movies (but yes, definitely stagger them).
Yeah, I'd say aside from the rest of Howl's Moving Castle (which I should finish eventually), the only other Ghibli films I haven't seen are Kiki's Delivery Service (like you said), Tales from Earthsea, Grave of the Fireflies (too sad for me! T_T), Ponyo, and From Up on Poppy Hill (which I'm looking forward to).
^_^ Will do! I'm glad you're back and here for the summer vacation!! I got your PM and I will most definitely reply asap!!! I just have to catch up on a couple things and then I'll email you either tonight or tomorrow (I think its a brilliant idea btw!!)
Lol! its fine^^
Ahahaha I think I'm beter at making the ones that taste good but look awful xD So i guess I'm not as talented in ruining cakes then i thought xD
Wheee replying to another comment of yours in the same comment box yaaaaaay
Don't worry it's almost summer vacation and if I do disappear just POKE ME till I come back :3 (secretly I do check this site quite often even if i'm not active but psstt don't tell anyone! :P)
WAAAAH!!!! REALLY?!! Oh man, you're comment has made me so happy again :D It means a lot to hear that from you, you're one of the awesomest artists I know! I wanna draw like you so I must keep improving^^
I'm realy glad you like this, King sama!! You're already an amazing super artist yourself, but the sky's the limit! *highfives*
Lol long comment!! x3
Ah I think I didn't really understand Porco Rosso since it was a few years ago so I was younger xD I should actually check it out again!
Oh nice!! My library has all those too, and Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and Kiki's Delivery service (haven't seen this one yet). They had Princess Mononoke but for some reason we couldn't order it and had to watch it online instead.
I haven't seen My Neighbors the Yamadas, I think the reasons you pointed out where what turned me away from it too. But since you say its good, I will try it sometime! I'm thinking of ordering the movies on my online library site... I'm just worried I might go overload and order them all at once. I need to stagger them x3
And definitely see the rest of Howl's moving Castle! I thought it was quite lovely and interesting.. funny too!
LOL you're spamming the spoiler button... hey I am too! xD I love getting comments from ya, Ellen! KYA I'm still so happy you're back! Don't leave again, ok? *hugs*
Really? Porco Rosso was good... but hey, different tastes for different people. Which movies are you getting? The movies in my Ghibli library are My Neighbor Totoro, Whisper of the Heart, The Cat Returns, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbors the Yamadas, and Porco Rosso. And for some reason I stuck the box for Portal 2 with them XD Oh well... it's essentially a DVD box.
My Neighbors the Yamadas was pretty good (even my mom watched it and thought it was interesting... and she hardly watches any anime at all :D) I just didn't like the bit of language they included in the subtitles (seriously, Disney? That's really harsh >_<), so I just watch the English version; no real language to worry about there (and the voice acting is really good :D That's a Disney dub for ya). But a lot of people don't like that movie, probably because it's not in typical movie format... it's a series of vignettes, kind of like The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show, if you're familiar with that. I guess the best way to describe it would be like if someone animated a bunch of four panel comics and stuck them all together (essentially like Azumanga Daioh XD But with a movie instead of episodes)
Spirited Away was pretty good (I think I should get that one someday) and I haven't seen all of Howl's Moving Castle yet... just a chunk of it mostly.

Yeah!! and its great because Ghibli is so popular that the library has most if not all of them!
I wanna watch now!!!! xD I'm gonna get online and order some^^ I think the only one I didn't like as much was Porco Rosso but even that one was interesting!
Lol The girl is supposed to be me! xD I'm very glad you like this, Ellen! I might colour it sometime, it was a spur-of-the-moment drawing so I'm glad it doesn't look too messy^^' Thankyou so much for your kind words, my friend!!
Yeah, that's how I started building up my Ghibli library... I'd borrow it from the library, and if I liked it enough, I'd buy it. Best of all, no rental fees :D

Ah! Thankyou!!! Thats a great compliment^^ I didn't use any type of ref pic, but its funny since Studio Ghilbli has been constantly on my mind of late... I wanna go borrow all their movies from my library now x3
Thankyou, Toya!! I'm glad you enjoy my sketches cuz it seems that I'm a bit uninterested in using my copics right now xD I'm still stuck with pencil and now digital!
You're welcome, Panou!!!! I hope you have a very great B-day tomorrow^^

So cute! She is really energetic, that emotion really bursts of the picture. And you drew lots of crazy cool details. Nice patterns and stuff. Love how you drew the sleeve with all the folds in it. And those braids looks awesome, wish I could braid my hair better xD and I don't have that long hair as the girl has.. lols.
Just amazing! Your artwork is just amazing here. I love your anime character. She looks like she worked hard on baking that cake. Very beautiful. I love the attention to details and overall just a beautiful artwork. Great jobThis is wonderful
