I'm sorry to hear about the event in your hometown... But I am loving this picture nonetheless. It definitely shows the sadness of this event and the expression on the girl's face is really serious and I can't help but look at the picture in awe and upset too. Overall, I think you've wonderfully depicted your emotions about this event into the picture--which is essentially what art should help others do--so I give you many props for that! ;_; Great piece! /vote+fave
Love the picture! I like how serene she is even while walking through the bare forest. I think she has confidence it will grow back again, I hope it does!
Wah~ the background is so simple, yet it goes so well with the picture! ^^
The shading is just amazing! I can see all the little details that you did- great job!
I heard about that but I thought the cause of the fire was a lightning strike. Eh, I might have misheard or something.
Anyway, this is very beautiful. Great work.
I'm soooo sorry to hear that :( Must be horrible!!! I really love this artwork though... You're such an awesome artist, you portray the perfect mood exactly. I love the tones and colours. Reiko is so calm thought she's going through this.
I really hope everything goes well for you and the forest.
Great job on the expression, it feels like there is still hope. The trees in the background is amazing and the umbrella that Reiko is holding adds more depth to this piece too :D
I'm sorry to hear about this horrible incident. People just don't understand the consequences of their stupid actions...stupid people. Also they don't understand that there is no such things as "our" land, it belongs to us all living on it, to mother nature. Ugghh they simply have no respect. And now I feel bad for your oc Reiko, hope she's doing well :)

Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification. It's upsetting to know that happened though; people can be so thoughtless.

@indie rokkers:
the thing is that there were 2 or three fires started by lightning. and 15+ started by arson. then they all just became one big blob

Such a beautiful and expressive piece, especially with what's going on right now. My prayers go out to you and to everyone affected by the fires.
