man! this is serious stuff. if i add one color i don't think i'll know where to add the next one but i can see the red as well, i'll save it and observe it really well. once again thanks for the help.
Yeah - something to think about! I've been trying to find an example for you to look at, but it's proving harder than I thought. I found this: drawing by itemilicious; I think the character's hair is a really fantastic example. All the different colors in the hair really give it a sense of lighting, and depth - there's more than just a bit of blue in it, there's a bit of red, and more.
that's something that i have always wanted to do but i don't seem to have a good idea on how to implement that especially when it comes to mixing colors but after reading your advice, i think i have some understanding of what i should do. i'll try it in my future drawings.thanks for the advice and comment.
WOW! i can feel your excitement and happiness from the screen plus am really glad you are okay with the hair cus i was thinking about doing something else but since you are happy, no need for me to worry about it. maybe when i draw him again i'll try that (after several experiments)in the mean time love the positive feedback.

Good job with the expression - and the pose & flowing cape gives it a really nice sense of movement. I like the shading in the hair - the highlights give it a pop. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to experiment with mixing colors when creating shadows - for instance, in the cape, it might be nice to use a transparent blue in the very darkest shadows, to push really push the form. Using different colors throughout the piece will also unite those different areas, making the appearance of some colors less jarring, in a way, or providing an extra tool for emphasis and to move the eye around the image. Just something to perhaps experiment with!
Well done piece, it has that "epic hero" feeling to it.
He is PERFECT! Thank you thank you thank you! <333
He certainly does seem to be ready to make the most of the day, I like how you incorporated that aspect of his personality into the picture. His hair looks awesome! I really like the highlights, but then I love everything about this! I'm so happy, yeeeeeeeeeeee!
