No Problem Manga! I think this was a great way for you to see a difference. I think the improvements are notable once the drawing are put side to side like this.
I think these before/after things are neat, I have been wanting to try something like this myself, but I'm so lazy. lol

You really did really improved in just one year of drawing manga characters. I can also see your style in the 2nd one. I like the first, but in the 2nd one I feel like theres more feeling to that guy.

Thanks Anna! Yeah I'm thinking the netaer lines have to do with confidence and being more precise too, so I'm happy about that! Its thanks to all your nice encouraging comments too!
AH I use a .5 mechanical pencil so the lead is pretty thin and doesn't wear down like a wood pencil. It works better when i keep my hand anchored somewhere like contacting the paper and then just use my fingers to direct the pencil x)

You've really improved in your art. I mean I can tell you've come a long way over the course of a year. Very nice art on both sides. I like it a lot. The boy on the right has more personality. I can tell he has more details and more work was put into it, I feel the right boy is really good and I definitely think you've improved a hell of a lot. Great job. I hope to see more amazing art from you in the future ^^.

On th eleeft one his eyes were more squared. Most of the figure on the left was better constructed. The one on the right was a bit more detailed than constructed. It's all around a good work, but I like the original.

Thats very interesting! I had the same feeling when it came to emotion on the face... seems like 2011 has more of it! I thought that I did better on facial/eye proportion in 2012, but I'm glad u mentioned that! Thanks again, my friend! I'll do my best! >:D
