Thank You Jen! XD I'm glad you were able to tell since the others couldn't really tell. It was suppose to be murky water, but I still could've added a little more! XD
Its good that u tried!! Sometimes I think doing something so hard makes everything seem easier and actually gives me a lot more experience even if I don't feel like I succeeded... And this painting looks fine to me!! I could tell right away that it was a leaf floating on the water ^_^ I'm really happy ur doing more digital and have decided that digital is the way ur gonna do ur project ;D
I originally was thinking of adding more highlights, but I thought it didn't look right, but next time I will! Painting water is just hard, I don't even know why I tried to. oTL
but it's was fun. XD
The water was suppose to be murky that's why I made it kind of green, but I think I should've added some more whites and maybe some blue too. I'll keep that in mind next time I tackle water!
Thank you very much for the input!
Thank You Neko, that really helps me out. I tried to make the water look murky, but I think I need to add some more whites to it or something.
Thank You for the input again! and good luck with your practice too! Painting is just hard. Q u Q
I think it looks amazing!! I've tried to do water before and its so hard!! Maybe u could do more highlights if u try again? I really love the shadowing you did, it makes it look more real :D
I think I understand what you mean! XD I was going to try that out, but I really wanted to stay away from using textures, but I'll keep that in mind next time I tackle water!
I'll try using luminosity too, since I didn't use it. oTL but I did use multiply.
Thank You jen. I tried my best with trying to make it look like it's on water, but trying to paint water was a lot tougher then I thought and I still came out a short on what I wanted! XD
but it makes me want to try again!
Although this is a simple leaf, it's also quite sophisticated :) It actually looks like a real life leaf.
Hmm... I can't really get the sense that it's floating in water, but it does looks like it's part of a tree because the background is green, and the tree is blurred out. Maybe if you want it to look like it's in water, maybe try using the other cool colors like blue, and purple and try to make it translucent.,...though I don't know how you would... sorry :(
I didn't get the "floating in water" vibe from it, even after you mentioned it, but I must say the colors are so vibrant and beautiful! I like the way you blended the background especially. I know that digital painting is MEGA hard, I'm still practicing with it too. You're doing wonderfully already! Keep it up toyo!!
OH THIS IS STILL NICE THOUGH :U
i think if you take another layer and add some type of water texture to it? and multiply/luminocify it?? idk xD it's hard to explain hfdskajlfd
I love this!! It does look like its floating on the water surface, and it was a good to experiment with!! I love how u used the brushes! I can tell u tried different settings with it, nice!!
I really lik the colours too, the leaf looks amazing!
So excited to see more digital work from you!!! Keep it up, Toya!!
