I use more than 50 colors, but only for markers XD I have something like 12 different skin tones XD XD I can't help it, I love to choose between lots of colors ^^
and yeah, flesh clor is the best O.O that was the first marker I bought, and I felt like I had REAL POWER in my hand XD

I only have ten because I have never been into coloring until this year... but also because I'm not good at using many colors, then I get lost... Silly isn't it...?

Actually you only need 3 colors, yellow, blue, and red and of course black and white sometimes. This is all I needed to for my painting class (thank god because paint is expensive!) I know sometimes color pencils are hard to blend, but you can create all the colors with only the primary colors. (I hope you don't mind that I am giving a lesson.) Hopefully this helps and you can practice creating different colors, if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask I hope you don't mind that I am doing this >.< I just like seeing artists improve ♥

I only have a total of ten colors (three of which I hate and never use) that I can color with, I can shade black and white pretty well, but not color. Thank you so much for the advice though~ I'll keep that in mind~ Thank you so much~

your coloring is flat, there's no lights or darks and no shading neither. That's most likely why you dislike the coloring. It would bring your drawing more to life with shading of darks and lights into your art work. I would consider to study into that if you can. Hopefully this helps you out ♥ just keep drawing and practicing! ♥
