Ah ok I've never worked with coral. I was looking for a new program so it would push me to experiment a bit more, go out of my comfort zone, but I haven't done so yet.
Same here! I usually fill the background with a certain color to get the color scheme into place :3
Thanks! Yeah, I really started with that color. I mixed in orange, red and yellow, and went from there, so come to think of it a lot of the original pinki look might have been covered up XD but I did start from it (helps put one in the fiery mood). I use corel, I don't have a burn tool. But I can get a similar effect with the subtract effect on a low opacity.
Sounds like tons of fun experimenting! Really you started with the background color? I think that color is a bit softer than the face result :P Did you use the burn tool? Ah good to know how you made it, perhaps the knowledge will come in handy when i go experimenting :P
Lol thanks! I'm glad you like the face...it has gone through many alterations today! Yes, this is a wip...I shoulda just called it that instead of in prog XD
I'm glad you like the depth and flames :) See, I worked with that background color first, as a base, then I used the add/subtract effects with my brush to create the depth, and I added the flames last--and quite by accident. I was using the smudge tool to blur the boundaries of colors, and then I swiveled and made fire-like streaks XD Then I'm like, "perfect!" and I went with it.
Woah I love that face! That coloring is fantastic. It's crazy how you managed it to look like fire yet also get that much depth in the face. Am I right to asume that this is a WIP?

That´s very interesting. At first I was confused by her face, but as I read that it´s supposed (?) to be fire it all made sense. Keep it up.
